I don’t understand why some guesses give a dark orange but are unrelated then you go off down completely the wrong track!

If you've ever played semantle or cemantle you'll know that the 'semantic relationships' are a long way from perfect. I think pedantle is using the same type of thing for the non exact 'matches'.
