@Harrriet I LOVE When Love Walked In, but nobody else I know has ever heard of it (until I force it on them!). Pretty sure I first heard it on some 90s Rock Anthems compilation. Good choice!

Boys of Summer, Don Henley.

I've written whole screenplays in my head based on that song.

It's so clearly the theme song to an 80s teen movie, probably involving Andrew McCarthy and set in a small US East Coast seaside town.

Love triangle: clever, sassy girl with dreams. The rich frat boy who's there for the summer and promises her everything. The poor mechanic who's loved her from afar but knows this small town can't hold her <sob>
