If you were struggling with money ...would you get your hair done?

Basically this month is a bit of a tight month.
Due to paying off holiday and going away next weekend for 3 nights.
So paid out over £1000 on it all.
So my hair apt is due Wednesday and that is £115 or I postpone it till for 4 weeks time and use that £115 towards spends for trip away next weekend.
At the min I have £300 spending money but obviously if I don't get hair done up have £415
My hair is highlighted and hasn't been done in 3 months so I have roots.
What would you do?

I'd do my hair. One of few things I kept up when money was tight as it made me feel normal/better. I was covering greys. If no greys then maybe not. Made me feel old

That price is ridiculous. Go somewhere cheaper.

I’d leave it. Your hair looks fine.

Sorry I'm agog at the spending money! I budget less than £100 a day for me and dd abroad , granted alcohol isn't involved, but wow !

Grow out the highlights. I much prefer mine without!

Is it fair or right to cancel a few days out because you want spending money? You knew the holiday was coming up. At short notice how will the hairs dresser fill that time and get that money back? Will it impact their staff salaries or their ability to pay their utility bills because you decided at the last minute to cancel.
I wouldn’t cancel. Also you had highlights, not an all over colour so it’s not just a case of a diy kit; plus any crossover on the grow out line will be glaringly obvious. If you want something longer lasting ask the hair dresser for an all over colour, which is less maintenance (and less cost) and tip them for messing them around.

Clearly no idea what’s I’m loved with highlights. Her hairdresser has done a good job on her ... you could pay less if you’re after zebra stripes at the local college. That’s a relatively average price to pay

*What’s involved, not I’m loved 🤦🏻‍♀️

I think they look fine. And will in no way stick out in Blackpool..

cherrypiepie · 27/08/2022 19:28

Can you get a balayage with a natural roots so you can let it grow out more maybe not this time but would be lower maintenance.

You hair looks gorgeous with or without a root.
