Any finders about! My phone has disappeared into thin air

I've seen MNers in the past who can find things with their amazing psychic finding abilities. I'm desperate for help!

My phone has disappeared in my flat. Only me and toddler have been here. No windows or doors or post boxes in reaching distance for him. I've emptied everything, checked within and under everything. I'm absolutely flummoxed.

Cat basket?
Posted out of the letterbox?
Behind toilet cistern?

Sparklybutold · 19/08/2022 14:48

It's by your washing machinr

InTheFridge · 19/08/2022 14:48

It will be inside a toy

When I say hey Siri where are you? It says I'm here.

Wallywobbles · 19/08/2022 14:57

I say it a lot.

Wallywobbles · 19/08/2022 14:59

Also hey Siri I can't hear you. Then it turns the volume up.

TheHideAndSeekingHill · 19/08/2022 14:59

If you've looked all the "hidden" places then likely it's under something really obvious e.g. under a book by toddler's bed, under some laundry on a chair, under a letter on the table

The other place I always leave mine is on a shelf - soooo hard to see unless you're really looking as it just blends with teh shelf

Dalint · 19/08/2022 15:00

Ok
Focus
When was the last time you remember having it?
What would you have done after that time?

Dalint · 19/08/2022 15:01

And I didn't want to say this but when did you last bring the bins out? I ask because my dd loved putting things into the bin.

Electriq · 19/08/2022 15:03

Windowsill or skirting board, or something white, face down or face towards the white, behind a curtain or unit.

Keyansier · 19/08/2022 15:05

Is it an iphone or an android?

cashmerecardigans · 19/08/2022 15:12

My toddler once put my keys in his toy hoover. Took me 2 days to find them

roarfeckingroarr · 19/08/2022 15:14

iPhone

I went through the bin, not in there. Likewise the washing basket. Honestly, it has disappeared.

Toddler is a short arse bit little to reach the windows.

Keep asking Siri a question it should respond ... unless it's now out of battery 🧐

Jules912 · 19/08/2022 15:22

Somewhere you don't think toddler can reach but they could climb up to?
In with their/your clothes, I once put mine away with the washing?
As a toddler DS liked to post things in the speaker for the surround sound, if you have one?

TheHideAndSeekingHill · 19/08/2022 15:23

If you have a friend or relative who lives nearby I would offer them a bottle of wine if they can find it and get them round, a fresh pair of eyes always helps.

Also OP it can't have actually disappeared. What colour is it?

CookPassBabtridge · 19/08/2022 15:24

Sorry if already suggested!
Trying to think like a toddler, and also where mine was hidden 😆

Down sides of couch
Under fridge/cooker
Between sliding doors on wardrobe
In a clothes drawer
Kitchen cupboard
Slotted on top of washer/dryer
In coat pockets
In fridge/freezer
In cat litter tray (really 😂)
In shoes/boots
Between mattress and bed frame
In my electric fire which has pretend logs and door
Under rug
Amongst books on bookshelf

Keyansier · 19/08/2022 15:32

Do you have Find My Iphone activated @roarfeckingroarr

DustinsHat · 19/08/2022 15:43

Use Alexa to ring it

DustinsHat · 19/08/2022 15:44

Sparklybutold · 19/08/2022 14:48

It's by your washing machinr

Or in it, if the toddlers made
Off with it

yorkshireteaparty · 19/08/2022 15:55

This happened to me once.. my toddler had put it between the space in a nest of tables

Tiredmumno1 · 19/08/2022 15:55

Definitely check down the sides of the sofa properly, my remotes like to slide down and hide and it's a bugger to find them, just take your time and check it thoroughly.

Or the letterbox 🤷🏻‍♀️

CorsicaDreaming · 19/08/2022 16:02

Have you tried your toddler's favourite bag? Or similar favourite places?

My son (when he was a toddler - now 9) once took the nursery phone and put it in his bag to go home with. As it was their main emergency phone and they had to go on a massive search for it, they were not very impressed!

AtomicBlondeRose · 19/08/2022 16:09

I close mine inside books all the time. You’d think it’s be obvious but they’re thinner than you think!

AtomicBlondeRose · 19/08/2022 16:11

Also, is your toddler old enough to understand “do you want to play on Mummy’s phone?” Either of mine would have rooted it out like a truffle pig once they could understand that sentence.
