My friend had no idea what I meant when I used this word - just wondering if it’s used widely or if it’s just used where I grew up.

As in, “oi, you kids, SCRAM!”?

iklboo · 18/08/2022 17:43

Scramming is running away where I grew up.

LilacSky95 · 18/08/2022 17:43

TooMuchToDoTooLittleInclination · 18/08/2022 17:44

I'm with your friend, but could probably guess used in context.

Fladdermus · 18/08/2022 17:44

Not got the foggiest.

Topjoe19 · 18/08/2022 17:46

Scramming- for me scratching someone with nails. Also scram as in get lost.

HeathenPlayingHouse · 18/08/2022 17:46

Like scramming with nails?

TheStarsDontShine · 18/08/2022 17:48

Scram is the same as skedaddle so I'd presume running away?

J0y · 18/08/2022 17:51

No idea

missbipolar · 18/08/2022 17:52

Shlomping1234 · 18/08/2022 17:54

Scramming is scratching with nails. I'm from South Wales.

FlibbertyGiblets · 18/08/2022 17:54

Scramming is scratching another person with nails, not an accident but an on-purpose.

Quanticom · 18/08/2022 17:55

@HeathenPlayingHouse and @Topjoe19 have it! Scramming someone meant to scratch them. Is it a Welsh thing I wonder?

Scramming is scratching with nails or claws- my cats scram for example. From Cotswolds originally but hear it now near Norwich too

tellyiscrap · 18/08/2022 18:07

Want some scram ?

FidginSpinnins · 18/08/2022 18:08

Scram = Get lost/Run (NW England)

Scramming = Scratched with nails and broke skin or caused a mark (South Wales, specifically RCT/Valleys)
