If you love or despise sweet and sour, how do you feel about salted caramel?

If you love or hate sweet and sour flavour, does that feeling match your thoughts on salted caramel?

I hate both, my cousin loves both. We were wondering if there is a correlation.

I like sweet and sour (wouldn't go as far as to say I love it) but not bothered by salted caramel, it's actually a bit sweet for me and rarely salty enough.

Not fussed on sweet & sour, but live salted caramel

I don't see why there would be a correlation? There's nothing sour about salted caramel. It's sweet and salty.

I love sweet and sour flavours - also love pineapple on pizza, fruit with cheese etc.

Proper salted caramel is great. Most salted caramel is far too sweet and not salty enough

I really dislike BOTH. The flavour just doesn't sense to me. However, I love the contrast in other things such as feta cheese with honey or sharp tangy greek yogurt and honey or sweet chutney and sharp mature cheddar. I also like marmite..........

Don't like pineapple on pizza but love sultanas with Moroccan spiced couscous and chicken or Persian rice. However, hate fruits in Indian food.

I don't like Chinese restaurant style sweet and sour sauce, but I do like caponata, pani puri, pineapple salsa and other foods which balance sweet and sour flavours. Also love salted caramel - far more complex and interesting to me than a purely sweet caramel.

Not a huge fan of salted caramel but would eat it if someone served it to me.

When you say sweet and sour, do you mean the Chinese sweet and sour? I love that, but to be honest to me it's a sweet taste. I don't like salted caramel. Salted caramel, salted chocolate, all that kind of thing does not appeal to me at all. If I'm in the mood for something sweet, then I want something properly sweet, not salty! If I want something salty I'll have a salty packet of crisps, not a piece of bloody chocolate

Hate salted caramel and not over fond of plain caramel either.

Love both sweet and sour AND salted caramel AND goats cheese with honey AND pineapple on my pizza! Also quite like adding grapes to tomato/cucumber/pepper salad.

I do love salted caramel though and also love things like pancakes and bacon with syrup, pineapple on pizza, fruit with meat

Do you mean sweet and sour as in chicken etc? I hate any form of sweet with savoury food so am not a fan - don't like any kind of fruit in a savoury dish or BBQ sauce on meat etc. I don't see salted caramel (or eg sour sweets) as the same thing and like both of these.
