For drinking that is. Not showers.

Just curious after a discussion with a friend who is French and will only drink room temperature water.

Ice cold

ShetlandPony1 · 30/07/2022 20:52

Ice cold. Can't stand any soft drink that has gone warm.

BarbaraWoodlouse · 30/07/2022 20:52

Ice cold ❄️

Yarnasaurus · 30/07/2022 20:54

Room temp for water.

All other cold drinks need to be ice cold.

LilacLaurel · 30/07/2022 20:55

Room temperature but on really hot days when it's too warm from the tap I will add ice

Sandysandwich · 30/07/2022 20:57

In between I think, just cold,
Don't like it room temperature but I have sensitive teeth

DramaAlpaca · 30/07/2022 20:58

Room temperature

PlanetNormal · 30/07/2022 20:59

Definitely ice cold. I ❤️ the filtered chilled water dispenser in our big fancy fridge. I measured the temperature of our tap water a few days ago, it was 21C even after I had allowed it to run for ages. It tasted rank & was totally unrefreshing. 🤮

Deadringer · 30/07/2022 21:01

Somewhere in between, cold but not icy.

germsandcoffee · 30/07/2022 21:03

Room temperature but that goes for salad and sandwiches too

Exactly this.

Fridge cold

mrsfollowill · 30/07/2022 21:06

We have a water filter jug in the fridge and have done for about 20 yrs - our tap water is full of lime scale and is horrible so the water is always cold and refreshing- nothing worse than tepid water from the tap.
I think a lot depends on the quality of your tap water though - moved from rural Lancs to Yorkshire donkeys years ago and the water here is dreadful- soon after we had moved here I went back to visit my Nan in Lancs and filled up 2x2 litre bottles from her tap and brought them home Grin

mizu · 30/07/2022 21:07

Oh definitely ice cold. I don't drink tea or coffee- never have - and when I was young, I used to drink pints of ice cold water in the winter apparently Grin I love it.

BlueSkyWarmSea · 30/07/2022 21:09

It depends where I am! Water tastes so different in different parts of the UK, or Europe. I generally prefer ice cold though. Thames Water is horrible, so ice cold is the only way I can drink it. Most of the rest of the country is OK room temperature.

SwedishEdith · 30/07/2022 21:17

Room temperature for still and very chilled for sparkling.

Funny. The water that comes out of my tap is supplied by Thames Water and I finid it ok without filtering. When we visit our inlaws in Suffolk the water out of the tap is cloudy and tastes of chlorine.

I'm funny with my Diet Coke. I hate it cold. Dh will ask me do you want one of your "warm' cokes ( it's room temp)

terrywynne · 30/07/2022 21:22

I would have said room temperature but I recently starting keep a bottle of tap water in the fridge and it has been a revelation!

SpotlessMind88 · 30/07/2022 21:23

Room temperature, because i can down it without getting brain freeze.

alnawire · 30/07/2022 21:24

Room temperature and I am so surprised others do the same. Usually people look at me like I have 2 heads if I ask for bottled water 'off the shelf' rather then in the fridge.

caringcarer · 30/07/2022 21:24

I've cold.

DuesToTheDirt · 30/07/2022 21:39

Ice cold water makes me need a wee. Tap cold is better.

Years ago I went backpacking round China and in the hostels there was always boiled water available to drink and to fill your water bottles. At first I thought it was disgusting, but it's surprising what you get used to.

Hakeandling · 30/07/2022 21:40

Room temp
I like fizzy drinks colder

PrezelwithMarmite · 30/07/2022 21:42

Cold.
