If you've not got any greys yet...

How old are you? I'm late 30s and still to find one! I don't know why, but every time I go to the hair dresser I always ask her if she's found any greys Blush

My mum and sisters all got their first greys around 18/20 years old so I'm beginning to think I'm adopted lol!

Watch this, I'm going to wake up tomorrow with about 50 of them Wink

Aged 63 and have some greys now, not lots, they're sort of mingled with the rest of my hair, looks more like highlights instead of 'going grey' and I've found I quite like it!

57 dark brown hair and none. My mum hardly had any until she was early 70’s, dad was a red head until he passed at 78, as said above its genetic. That said, both my older and younger brother both have a healthy sprinkle of salt & pepper.

I'm 44, nothing yet, but then I have this dull dark-blonde hair and it might be hard to see. My mum started dyeing her hair in her 30s and didn't let it grow out until her 50s, by which time it was grey, so we don't know exactly when it changed!

I'm not entirely sure, I had a slightly lighter bit of hair in my 30s that is now almost white.

I look like I have highlights and my hair has mostly just lightened. I was always mousy I now look more blond.

Hair is weird though, when my mum had chemo her mousy hair dropped out but grew back black. Then she had more chemo and it cam back fair with grey, she was in her 70s.

I'm 46. I've found a small number (single figures type small) over the past 2 years and hoiked them out. Hair basically the same colour it's always been (mid brown).

39 and I don’t have any at all. Both my younger sisters have had them for ages. One of my parents is really grey, the other one hardly has any. Hopefully I got to good genes!

JudithandHolofernesHead · 28/07/2022 06:38

I spotted my first grey hair at 12. My daughter is 15 and has been finding the odd one for a couple of years now (or her friends find them). My nan was white in her 30s. My dad was salt and pepper in his 20s.

It used to bother me but then I dyed my hair all sorts of colours which was fun. DD plans to do the same. I stopped dyeing at 40. It's now mid brown with a lot of grey "stripes" at the front. A colleague calls me Badger, which, naturally, I've embraced! 🦡

I didn't until into early 40's unlike Mum & sister who were much much younger. It appears to be linked to hair type rather than hair colour in our family. Colour of mum but type of very little grey Dad (70's) = little grey, colour of Dad but hair type of mum = early grey. Teen DD who has similar hair type & colour as DSis (her Aunt) has already got some grey's.

69 and none yet! I’m the only one in the family like this, all three of my children are grey already and my mum is a beautiful silvery grey

ive always been lucky with my hair, it’s still long and thick, in great condition though I only go to the hairdresser twice a year for a trim.

Chipsdontlie · 28/07/2022 07:27

54 about 6 on each temple

KangarooKenny · 28/07/2022 07:28

50, but it’s genetic.

  1. Had a couple spring up right at the front this year, was most put out, so cut them out and they haven't grown back. Yet.

55 and no grey yet. I was at school with a girl who started going grey at around 15/16.
