My last baby is 3 mo, so not something I need to worry about, but was just thinking about this:

  • Lettice
  • Anne
  • Georgiana
  • Clemency
  • Ambrosine
  • Adelaine
  • Otteline
  • Margaret
  • Barbara
  • Julia
  • Shirley
  • June
  • Patricia
  • Pandora
  • Diana
  • Kenneth
  • Harold
Wh would you like to add?

@Gatekeeper I think Joan and Jean are beautiful names. I bet spelt differently they'd already be considered cool

Per Monica in Friends "Wendy is a fat-girl name"

I think a baby Nigel would be cute!

Agnes, Sharon and Tracey are the worst names in the world imho.

A good amount of these names are already in the top 100. Ivy is # 9, Elsie is #11, Florence is #32, Evelyn is #41.

Araminta
My all time favourite name

One of my favourites too ... I see this as a bit posh rather than old lady

MumofMany2021 · 25/07/2022 20:46

That list makes me smile, it contains three of my DDs Names plus my Own!

The latest addition to our family is named after his Ancestors on both sides of the Family, although now a popular name Choice due to Royalty, William!

HernamewasMary · 25/07/2022 20:48

I had gone for European names and then Brexit happened. Now people are reverting to very English names.

RuthW · 25/07/2022 20:53

Some of those in the original post are already back

ouch321 · 25/07/2022 20:55

I don't know why people feel a name has to be trendy in order that they can use it.

Pick whatever you like no matter what year it is even if at the point of time when you make the choice it's noted as dated.

And if it makes you feel better at some point later in their life- maybe when the 'child' is in their 30s or 40s - the name will be trendy again because all names go in a cycle of being on and them off trend.

Snoopsnoggysnog · 25/07/2022 20:56

Many of these are already in use, I know 2 little Georgiana’s, Walter, Verity
