Burger King or McDonald's

Just for fun...

I rarely have fast food but will do drive through McDonald's on occasion! I always get the same 6 nuggets, bbq sauce, cheese burger and fries! Bloody delicious!

However, the other day I had a drive through bacon double cheeseburger and onion rings from Burger King and it was on another level! (Can't have had a Burger King for about ten years)! I mentioned this to my friend and she agreed with me, that a bacon double cheeseburger from Burger King is far superior to anything from McDonald's.

So the question is, do you agree? Do you prefer Burger King over McDonald's? Or are we alone?

(Disclaimer: this is just for fun and I know there are much better/healthier/veganier foods out there)!

Much prefer McDonalds- the fries are way nicer and the BK burgers are too wet. Plus I like Big Mac sauce but hate mayonnaise (not a fussy eater generally but mayonnaise is something I literally cannot stand). I file BK under NWC (not worth the calories).

BK, I worked at mcdonalds for too many years and the smell still makes me boke. But they have the better fries.

I noticed this with my last BK, wasn't impressed.

Never have either of them delivered as I think everything needs to be HOT to be nice. I have a meal maybe once a year for that reason, sometimes two.

Burger King burgers are far superior. I much prefer McDonald’s fries and milkshakes though.

Hands down it’s Burger King!!!! There is no comparison!

Aw, I don't do this anymore but I used to love a fish fillet and fries from McDonalds or a whopper and fries from Burger King. They are both good!

If the alternative is hunger, Burger King. Preferably neither.

Burger King for the burgers, McDonalds for the fries.

In the UK, McDonalds, because I mainly want a fish sandwich, fries, and shake from this kind of place, and BK does not seem to have any kind of fish sandwich IRL in the UK (they claim to have a fish finger sandwich, but have never been in a UK BK which actually has this?), while McDonalds has the Filet-o-Fish. Fries and shakes are slightly better at McD.. Also McD breakfast options are better.

Elsewhere, though, the BK Big Fish/Alaskan Something Something is decent (although they charge extra for the cheese) and I like their onion rings and chili cheese bites.

I've not had a BK in years, their burgers were quite "messy". I don't had fast food often but if I do it'll be a Mcd's quarter pounder with cheese. Their fries are also superior.

Just as an aside, for the veggies, branded Quorn "chicken" nuggets are exactly the same as McDs chicken nuggets and are delightful with a good BBQ dip.

BK but we eat more McDonald's because there are more around here.
Also find BK is more expensive and the service is shite. But I love a bacon double cheeseburger

I prefer BK but the only one around is in a bit of a dump, whereas McD's have a gleaming drive-thru. Every once in a while when I don't have the kids with me I sneak one in.

But I have one child who eats no burgers and another who will only eat them plain...so chicken is just easier.

However...McFlurrys.

Can’t believe there’s so much love for BK. Definitely McDonald’s here. Big Mac all the way.

I'm also rather surprised at the BK love - can't stand it - every so often I try it and it always gives me a dodgy tummy!

@wheeliegood it definitely depends on the specific BK. I’ve had some awful ones in the town we used to live in and stopped even trying with them. However there was one, might’ve been in Southampton? which was absolutely fantastic. Always piping hot, assembled perfectly, and even the fries were good!
