Paddy and Christine McGuiness lack of privacy!

Just read that Paddy and Christine have split, in their announcement they have said and I quote

"'We hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but after the lack of privacy surrounding our personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify."

Am I the only person thinking WTF you share everything on social media, I dont follow them but just by reading celebrity news (I know I know) I know they were meant to be abroad on holiday, their daughters passport had ran out, they are in Center Parcs, he cheated on her etc
If you want privacy stop sharing everything!

This isn’t true.

money buys choices and help so it’s completely different a millionaire having an autistic child over someone on a council estate.

I just wouldn’t judge any parent of a child/children with ASD regardless of their wealth or income

you just don’t know what goes on behind closed doors

Throwing money at something doesn’t always work though- you could pay for all sorts of therapies but there’s no guarantee

Cuck00soup · 23/07/2022 19:59

In the area I work, the waiting time for assessments is around 2 and a half years, then more months for treatment. Or for around £2k you can get assessed next week. In a nice private clinic, not a run down CAMHS centre on a dodgy industrial estate.

Having a child or children with autism is hugely challenging for all parents, but don't let's pretend that every parent has the same experience. Having money helps.

In some cases - it might. Every child is different though and it’s just doesn’t sit right with me to say they have things easier with their children because they have money when we don’t know if they are struggling etc

They made a documentary about their girls and living with autism for the bbc and I think that Christine also has a diagnosis of this too ? Anyway , at the time I thought they didn't look that happy and a bit distant. She made a comment that she rarely went out and despite having a seemingly nice life they were clearly struggling with the girls and getting the right help for them both. I wasn't aware he had cheated though and I don't follow them on social media etc.

All 3 of their children have autism, not just the girls

@JenniferAllisonPhillipaSue shows how little you know about autism if you think having money means living with it isn’t stressful!

I thought this too. I don't live with it, but I have seen marriages collapse under the strain of living with it and people driven to distraction. Money does not fix everything.

TooBigForMyBoots · 23/07/2022 21:03

I see it as a consent issue. They have been happy to share and even overshare, but now they want to stop. And that's OK, they have serious shit going on.

No one is entitled to all the details of someone else's life.🤷‍♀️

I would read into that that their hands have been forced and someone was going to sell the story so they had to make it public, before they were ready to share it. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s the vibe I get from the statement

Same

Snowraingain · 23/07/2022 21:34

I think she has the same representation as Peter Andre. So no class and tell everyone everything.

Aquarius1234 · 14/08/2023 13:46

Bumping this thread.
Apparently she's now with Chelcee Grimes.
Probably been going on for a year

I watched the doc too. I didn't notice either looking unhappy or pick up on anything. I also don't follow either on SM they have not got people talking hence OP. People always speculate I wouldn't of confirmed anything.

Rollonsept · 14/08/2023 13:54

@Cuck00soup I don't think anybody is pretending money helps. I don't want to guess wrongly but ALL her kids have autism I mean personally I would have stopped at 1 child. I don't think money compensates....

floribunda18 · 14/08/2023 13:54

I disagree that because someone chooses what to share about their private life that it gives some gutterpress journalist the right to tap their phones, use long angle lenses and constantly follow people around looking for a story.

I don't think people should tap people's phones or hound them to death. Celeb world is very different and quite often people are happy for the cameras and to be followed round when it brings them the life £££
