Paddy and Christine McGuiness lack of privacy!

Just read that Paddy and Christine have split, in their announcement they have said and I quote

"'We hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but after the lack of privacy surrounding our personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify."

Am I the only person thinking WTF you share everything on social media, I dont follow them but just by reading celebrity news (I know I know) I know they were meant to be abroad on holiday, their daughters passport had ran out, they are in Center Parcs, he cheated on her etc
If you want privacy stop sharing everything!

Agree that over sharing is a trait in some neuro-diverse people. I do it myself but via talking. I'm so uncomfortable that everything just comes tumbling out.

What a cheating git he is. She seemed lovely when on RHOC.

They may well over share, but that shouldn’t mean that those aspects of their life they don’t want to share should be open season.

This puzzled me so much! Initially I thought it was about the Sinn Fein guy, but then remembered his name was Martin, not Paddy. I genuinely have no idea who these people are. Clearly, I need to spend more time on Instagram!

Well you can be autistic and shallow, just like any other insta-influencer. It’s stupid to pretend that oversharing is an autistic trait when she’s a TV presenter, built and entire career on this and probably has professional PR people managing her social media. It’s not some teenager posting about their life.

Btw I have ADHD, DP is autistic.

They both come across as shallow, materialistic dimwits. That said, it can’t be easy parenting 3 under 10, all with an autism diagnosis, plus an unfaithful husband in the public eye. Puts a heck of strain on a relationship.

This was in the cards for a long time. You only had to watch the recent documentary to see how unhappy Paddy was. It was patently obvious when he was talking to Paul Scholes.

But yet again it's the mum who steps up and rallies round the DC and the bloke whose solution is to bail and go off and shag someone else. Bailing is generally not an option for mothers.

I've always liked him on tv etc as he seemed one of the better guys and a family man. He is pretty good on 'top gear. '
Goes to show how little I know.
It's such a shame that those who seem to have it all rarely do. You need to work at marriage and it's not easy :(

This is sad. I don't like their oversharing re their dc. The programme made me sad because it never went deep enough into the struggles of autism. I didn't know he cheated.

I would read into that that their hands have been forced and someone was going to sell the story so they had to make it public, before they were ready to share it. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s the vibe I get from the statement

Well at least they lots of £££ to hire paid help.
I’m not comfortable with how they’ve monetised their children. Would they like their struggles being known to the entire world as adults? Raising awareness is one thing, but having your family life filmed is another

Christine posted videos of herself every day throughout lockdown and I remember thinking it was a bit over the top at the time. Sadly they both came across as unhappy in their documentary.

I agree with others - if you shared, over shared your lives with the public to make money you cant expect the public to ignore you just because you no longer want the publicity. Many "celebrities" manage to have careers in the public eye yet nobody knows about their private lives beyond the odd snapshot at awards ceremonies etc. those who choose otherwise have themselves to blame

He’s cheated but so has she. She’s been sleeping with one of the PTs at our gym for months. I go to the same gym. Can’t stand either of them. Constantly going on about privacy but she’s constantly parading around in bikinis and swimwear and shoving her and her children’s autism diagnosis in our faces like they are the only ones with it. Shameful both of them
