Chub rub shorts - worth it?

NCTDN · 16/07/2022 22:36

I really want to wear more dresses over the summer but am limited how long I can wear them for before the top of my thighs get a rash. I keep looking at the shorts but that somewhat defeats the point of a dress to keep you cool.
Are they any good? Or could a pair of cut down tights do the same?

Echoing others... snag chub rubs are worth every penny
I cut down tights and they just roll up but my snags stay put all day.
Changed my life !!

ecuse · 16/07/2022 23:45

Snag! Definitely worth it and don't make you hot.

colouringindoors · 16/07/2022 23:45

Yes! I managed ok with roll on deoderant etc previously, but bought some m&s anti chafe shorts 2 weeks ago and they're brilliant. Not hot, comfy and totally effective. Will be a permanent fixture here!

I second @fatagainitslettucetime
I got primark cycling shorts, they're not too hot and really help with the rub

NCTDN · 17/07/2022 02:33

So I'm definitely going to get some, going to order and my size seems to be out of stock! The M&S ones seems much shorter than snag. Does anyone have both makes and see much difference? The lady b ones seem funny sizing - I'm a 16 so think the medium will be tight but the large too big?

I've just ordered a pack of 4 pairs from Amazon £24.99, if it is as hot as they say it will be I'm going to just wear a big T shirt with them as it is good enough for staying indoors.

Snag chub rubs are amazing

YellowMonday · 17/07/2022 04:53

Highly recommend! Mine are chub rub shorts/undies, so you don't have to wear undies underneath. The speciality shorts are also made out of breathable fabric vs cut down stockings.

I find helps with heat rash and also a good protection in case of wind blowing uo your dress!

Sparkletastic · 17/07/2022 05:23

Cotton is essential. I swear by the Sloggi ones too.

idontevenknowanyonecalledblurb · 17/07/2022 05:28

Primark sell anti chafe shorts- only cheap and work perfectly

Vampirethriller · 17/07/2022 05:48

Yes! Fabulous. Mine are from Amazon and in bright colours so if they show it doesn't look like underwear.

wheresmyshoe · 17/07/2022 08:02

Love my sloggi cotton ones, I tried tights material one from H&M but found them too hot.

NCTDN · 17/07/2022 08:29

I can't find sloggi ones on their website?

I use this works really well use it on holiday to stop the chub rub and no need to shorts

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 17/07/2022 08:34

I wear them all summer long. I couldn't wear a dress without them.
They don't make you any more hot. The snag ones are no thicker than tights.
In the old days (1980's) we used to cut down tights to do the same thing but they weren't very pretty and tended to roll up.

I got mine on Amazon.

dudsville · 17/07/2022 08:38

I bought some last year and they're great. I tried a few brands before I found the kind that work for me.

SpaghettiSquash · 17/07/2022 08:42

Snag chub rub shorts are amazing! I bought a pair at the start of the warmer weather to try and after one more wear I ordered more. They are about the only thing I can wear that I don't spent all day pulling up. I've just ordered some of their opaque tights to try for the autumn as hoping they will be the same!

IAcceptCookies · 17/07/2022 08:45

Another Primark shorts wearer here. They're fine for most of the summer - thin cotton lycra - but perhaps will feel a bit warm over the next day or two!

Toomuch2019 · 17/07/2022 08:48

Life changing. I could never wear dresses or skirts in the summer before due to chafing so have made so much difference. Love them

fernz · 17/07/2022 08:53

Yes they are amazing. I buy from Better Tights and Big Bloomers Company now and boycott Snag for all the fetish stuff and gender woo. 🙄

WhatWouldHopperDo · 17/07/2022 08:55

I found some snag type shorts in Tesco. They are a revolution!!! They don’t make me hotter and I have now been able to buy a lot more dresses.

FlosCampi · 17/07/2022 09:01

You asked for a comparison of M and S with Snag OP. I have both, and while I love Snag tights, I found their chub rub shorts to be too long (I'm 5'3), practically knee length, and therefore not suitable under knee length skirts. They are also heavier tights material, plus they need knickers underneath so I felt bulkier. They do last well and they feel secure, no roll up or down and I too found them life changing, releasing me from having to wear jeans when exploring new cities, walking around the Edinburgh festival etc. The M and S ones I personally prefer as they are underwear, made of cooler underwear material, and a much shorter ( but still effective) length.

NCTDN · 17/07/2022 09:07

Thanks @FlosCampi I've just gone to order the snag ones, but delivery was £3.75!! Not impressed. Overall the M&S ones are now no dearer.

Interesting. I need some.
