I am a 48 year old woman with a huge celebrity crush on a 24 year old. I’m feeling slightly iffy about the situation.

Obviously I realise that in the very unlikely chance that we were ever to meet we would have literally nothing in common (other than we come from the same geographical location) and therefore I wouldn’t find him remotely attractive but I am watching him with lustful eyes.

But he’s not 18 and he looks like a boy.

My nephew could pass for 18 from when he was 14, looks mean nothing. And even at 18, they aren’t ready for relationships with much older adults or even to be looked at in that way from much older adults. It’s sick.

I mean if you make noncey comments people are going to judge you and possibly assume you are a nonce.

That is really out of order. He is not a young child and doesn't resemble one. I would never approach a lad that age anyway. Caroline Flack dated Harry Styles at that age. Would you have called her names too?

Caroline Flack got called a lot of things for shagging Harry Styles when he was a child, rightly so. She was a very troubled individual.

I admitted this elsewhere on MN recently but right now I'm trying to damp down a huge crush on Midnight Oil's lead singer.
Saw them perform at the weekend and I wanted to climb on stage.
I had a crush on him 30 years or so ago, when they became know over here.😊
I'm way too old for this sort of behaviour, and hes even older!

I also thought Caroline and Harry was ICK at that time too, all sorts of wrong. He's only 28 now and that era seems like a lifetime ago!

No it's just physical attraction to someone younger, no harm in it.

If actually meeting though.. within an hour I'd probably just have strong urges to make sure they had a good meal in them, be reminding them of the dangers of travelling alone at night and start casually discussing the importance of how compound interest works within a pension plan if you start sooner rather than later lol

exactly it's creepy either way and this person should honestly keep these thought to themselves it's uncomfortable reading about someone lusting after a teenager.. Im 18 and already I see 15, 16 year olds as young and wouldn't ever date them can't imagine being in my thirties crushing on a teenager especially under 18 🤮

we've got two marriages from two pupil teacher situations at my school.

my boyfriend was 21 when I was 17. I don't know what it's like now, but when I was 17, not many of us were dating boys our own age. Then you get to, what's the difference between 21, 23...nothing really.

This is an interesting point. I have had a huge crush on Mr Spock from Star Trek since 1968.
At that point, he was 36 and I was 13. Obviously the character doesn’t age in the repeats and reruns of the original shows-
so now he is still 36 but I am 66.
At which stage, if any, in the past 54 years did I officially become a pervert?!

I'm 55 and have a huge crush on the gorgeous Mika who is 38, it's harmless, it's not like I'm ever going to meet him.

I have a huge secret crush on Lando Norris who is literally half my age. I don't know why. In real life I would never. Distant, light-hearted crushes are fine; it's when you start stalking/not living your life/trying to make them real that you need to worry.

At least in this case, I'm the younger 'party'. But he's nearly 70!

If he was in my bedroom, then the wall would not be being used for putting up posters, and that would be option two anyway.
