Sympathy and condolences for Lauren Goodger (TW neonatal bereavement)

Lauren Goodger’s baby daughter Lorena has tragically died at just two days old.

I don’t really do social media that much but I think I read somewhere that she is a Mumsnetter…

I just wanted to express most heartfelt sympathy and condolences to her and anyone else experiencing such a heartbreaking loss

Heartbroken for Lauren. May she be surrounded by people that genuinely care for her. Same goes for Charlie. I can't even imagine the pain they are in. May little Lorena RIP.

I’m really hoping that OP was wrong and Lauren isn’t a mumsnetter because this thread isn’t the best if she does stumble across it one day.

I really think it should be deleted, maybe try again, mumsnetters can do better under such dreadful circumstances.

If she’s on here- my heart absolutely goes out to her, and I wish her peace, strength and lovely people around her in the days going forward. It’s nothing more than supporting another mother where possible, we all need that.

I’m not sure it is, by the sounds of her post, they had never left the hospital until last night. Poor Lauren and her partner, the pain must be unimaginable.

Absolutely tragic. Just can't comprehend how she is feeling and how you can deal with this. So sad. Thoughts with her, Charles and their little girl xx

Lauren shared that her baby has died, maybe to prevent people passing on congratulation on the birth. Not because anyone else has a right to know the details of how this happened. The shock and pain must be unreal and she needs to focus on herself and her family right now. She doesn’t owe strangers an explanation.

Tattle has a fair amount of comments that start with “I never liked Lauren/can’t stand Lauren, but…” before offering condolences on the death of her baby. Which imo is so fucking crass. You can offer condolences without mentioning the disdain you have for the people involved. Or don’t bother frankly.

@mum2bee2022 you sound very shocked at the idea babies pass away. Maybe look up some statistics around neo-natal deaths and educate yourself. There's lots of reasons why this can happen.

And to Lauren, so desperately sorry for your loss. I hope you and your family get all the support and love you need to keep going as bereaved parents. Nothing can help except time.

@MushyPeasPrincess but she's right. @mum2bee2022 I get you. I recently had a termination for a medical reason (myself) and I was worried my baby would have died when born. It's scary. I honestly wish Lauren well. She's so brave for someone whose gone through so much over the last year.

There are many reasons.

It sounds like this happened very shortly after the birth or possibly still birth.

But that's their business and they are under no obligation to share.

Thank goodness then you came on a thread full of condolences to copy and paste some awful comments from there then @Vivi0 . Essential really to the thread and so nice of you.
