Javid

Sunak

Guillis (PPS to sec of state to NI)

Clarke (trade envoy to Kenya)

Afolami (Tory vice chair) resigned live on air 🤭

Murrison- (trade envoy to Morocco)

Chaulk- (solicitor general)

Macdonald (wrote damning letter that started this avalanche)

Please add more names as they abandon the sinking ship

Remember these cowards voted for him in the confidence vote literally two minutes ago because they were on the payroll. I've never heard of any of these people (apart from neanderthal guy) or their positions.

Do I need to put the telly on again? I was recovering after this morning's dramas.

5 cabinet ministers including Zahawi set to tell him to resign

I still find it gobsmacking how they telegraph everything. You hear a rumour from a source and it usually turns out to be true. They are so unintelligent

Quite a day for nadim zahawi. This time yesterday, he was in charge of all the schools. Now he's in charge of the whole bloody economy. Would Rishi have left him a word doc with some handover notes or anything? Has he found out where the toilets are yet? He also needs to move house. Bit awks all round, really.

(Am hugely enjoying seeing them all flounder around, I can't lie. It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch).

Priti Patel has arrived
at Downing Street.

Rumour is the new education minister is part of the group of 7 cabinet ministers about to tell him to resign. This will be a shock to him because he's currently in the liaison committee bring grilled.

What a shit last day at work 🤣

I think he's served less time than Theresa May, hasn't he?

If he quits tonight does he go immediately or do we have to wait for the leadership contest?

The 1922 rules have officially been changed.

He's toast

Surely this must be the end of Boris Johnson

Where did you get the news about the 1922 rules having been changed? Can't see it on any news site.

BiggerBoat1 · 06/07/2022 17:28

He's toast! Can't wait to see him bluster through a leaving speech where he tries to convince us all he's been world beating 😂

BiggerBoat1 · 06/07/2022 17:29

Anyone up for leaving speech bingo?

I reckon he'll mention the vaccine rollout, Ukraine, Brexit and then mutter something in latin

AlternativelyWired · 06/07/2022 17:30

OMG. It's like an TV drama

So BJ has appointed a new Chancellor of the exchequer amongst other new appointments. Surely these will be the shortest lasting appointments in political history as who ever succeeds Boris will want to make their own appointments not take the people BJ thought would be loyal to him. Having accepted their appointments these people have shown themselves loyal to Boris. Whatever they do now they are stuck. It would be hugely embarrassing for them to desert BJ now. If they stick with him whoever is the new PM won't want them.😬

SheepingStandingUp · 06/07/2022 17:58

He won't go. They'll have to pry his fingers off the doorknob.

The new chancellor has actually called for BlowJo to go

In other news, Priti Patel has now called for him to go.

I wouldn't be surprised if he clings on, though. Limpets can learn a thing or two from BlowJo

He did say you'd need a tank division to get him out of number 10. Seems to be the only time he was telling the truth 😆

OP posts:
balalake · 06/07/2022 18:43

If it needed a tank division to get him out, there would be a fight over who would drive the tanks.

There’s a reason he cut the funding to the armed forces.

herecomesthsun · 06/07/2022 18:48

Can we have Matt Lucas as Bo Jo please?

SheepingStandingUp · 06/07/2022 19:09

38 now

GreenLunchBox · 06/07/2022 19:23

LOL at these non-entities suddenly caring about 'standards'.

They had their chance a couple of weeks ago with the confidence vote!

I've done a 180 now and am rooting for BlowJo

OP posts:
shiningstar2 · 06/07/2022 20:13

Wow has the new chancellor done that already Green lunchbox??? Clearly I'm behind the news. Can't understand why BJ is still hanging on

Damnautocorrect · 06/07/2022 20:15

What a snake the new chancellor is.
whilst I’m not Boris Johnson’s fan. That’s very low

pointythings · 06/07/2022 20:18

Well, the longer he clings on, the less electable the Tories become so I'm here for that.

SheepingStandingUp · 06/07/2022 20:48

I think the new Chancellor has a point. As a minor staff you saying leave won't get inches. Take the job and then do it and it has more strength.
