Where is your tongue when your mouth is closed.

Lately I've been getting really tense around my jaw area I'm trying to relax the muscles and massage the area etc. And I have noticed that my tongue is rammed tight to the top of my mouth.

I know it's a stupid thing to think about but is that where it should be or a bit relaxed and sort of in the middle.

Where is your tongue??!

I've never felt so conscious about my tongue before! It's all I can now feel

My top and bottom teeth aren't together when my mouth is relaxed so my tongue just rests on my bottom teeth and doesn't touch the roof of my mouth at all. I'm clearly odd.

Tip of my tongue is resting behind my lower teeth. Unless I purposely put the tip on the roof of my mouth, so my tongue is vertical, my tongue can’t reach the roof of my mouth.

@Atsearching urgh, this is so me - I have faceache every day. I have it now. I do all sorts of weird shit with my mouth though when I'm stressed or concentrating.

I'm really glad I read this post. I've been practicing the tips about bottom of my mouth. But that makes me want to drool. Clearly need to sharpen my technique!
