Stupid question but should I do anything?! I feel absolutely awful, pretty certain I had a temperature this morning in bed, I was boiling hot and shivery. My nose is bunged up and my throat is killing 🙁

The photo of my watch is from just now, I've been sitting in the car for the last 10 minutes!

I have an infection and a big box of antibiotics. My mums coming to get me, I'm desperate for my bed, I'm absolutely exhausted.

One easy place I find for my pulse is the v at the base of your throat where your collar bones meet. Just press lightly until you can feel the bump bump bump of your pulse. Always take a pulse with your pointer and middle fingers - never use your thumb as it has it's own pulse.

Good to hear you've seen a Dr. Rest up.

OP you are the 2nd person in the past month that I've heard of who this has happened to. His watch also showed an elevated heart rate. He had some sort of infection relating to his heart. Antibiotics and he was back at work a couple of days later. He says that only for the watch he would have just gone to bed and goodness knows what would have happened. Hope you're feeling better soon.

I had the ‘sniffles’ last week which as I suffer from hay fever is not unusual at this time of the year.
I noticed my heart rate had shot up on my Fitbit so I did a Covid test, yes it was positive.
I am actually quite impressed at how well the vaccinations must be working as I wasn’t totally sure beforehand.

I hope you recover quickly, @AintNobodyHereButUsChickens . Rest up, and get well soon.

Bloody hell! Are you alright now?

I've had an ECG and they've taken some blood, just a game of more waiting now. These chairs are horrendous, my back and hips are killing me.

Yes thank you, I am doing ok now, still on lots of meds but no day to day problems.
Hope you feel better soon x
