Getting the smallest bedroom

3-bed house has two large bedrooms and a smaller one, teen DS has the biggest, we have the other and soon-to-be teen DS has the small one. DS has a loft bed in the room with a desk underneath, and a chest of drawers with a tv + games console on top. The bedroom has a cupboard over stairs. DP has suggested that we switch rooms with DS as he is already as tall as we are and will need more space.
DP's argument is that we are only in the room getting ready or sleeping so the sensible thing to do is swap. I really don't want to move to a smaller room and DS will just have to cope.
Room size is 3m x 2.5m with the cupboard 1m x 1.2m.

Would you swap?

Don't be daft, nothing wrong with small room for one person. What is daft though, is your other son having a bigger room than his parents.

I'm about to to this in summer hols. Dd's currently share after moving in together 4 years but it's time for dd1 to get her own space before high school. My 3rd room will fit double bed/wardrobe/drawers so it's fine for my needs (single parent). (Sorry not sure on dimensions)
I am getting an ottoman bed which I am hoping will be the storage I need for spare bedding etc which I currently have in my giant wardrobe.

If you're not happy with the idea then fundamentally you shouldn't do it. What's the age gap. Could the children swap in x years. It always seems unfair that youngest automatically gets smallest room.

I wouldn't but once older DS has left home (even if university) would offer second DS the larger room.

That's what we did.

There are two of you so a swap seems crazy to me.
