What are these animal figurines? Google isn't helping!

DD saw a set of figurines in the charity shop.

I think there was about 6.

About 4/5 inches high.

Each one was a woodlands animal dressed in a human outfit. Ceramic/porcelain

The frog had a nightgown on

There was a rat with a flatcap/suit

I think there was a badger

She wanted them and now they've sold and we have no idea what they were. Any ideas?

Sylvanian families?

They are porcelain line type figures maybe 5 inches high. Do love sylvanians though.

Beswick Wind in the Willows? There's a weasel gamekeeper in a flat cap and suit.

Oh gosh, they sound like some we had in the early 2000s, bought from Butlins’ gift shop! I don’t think my mum kept them. They weren’t an expensive or well known brand, but there was a whole series of them. I’ll see if I can manage anything googling!

Beamur · 06/06/2022 22:27

My PIL had some wind in the Willows figures that sound just like this. No idea where they got them. I think we have them somewhere but my DD is very attached to them.

You could ask in the charity shop, it's quite possible that someone on staff would know a bit about them.

LouMoo13 · 07/06/2022 01:47

Robert Harrop Country Companions? Although think they were always dogs dressed as people...

There's another thread running that I read this morning where a poster bought a set of 6 figurines from a charity shop, kept the rats and donated the other four to a charity shop down the road - I love a good coincidence, but worth a pm in case it's the same ones?!

jellybombina · 03/09/2024 07:54

These figurines might be part of a collectible set like “The Woodland Friends” or “Woodland Characters” series. Many of these are made by companies like Enesco or even some artisan brands, featuring woodland creatures in charming outfits.
