What would you suggest? We have been to Barcelona 3x and love love love

so looking for something similar

will be going on March and whilst happy to wear coats, like it to be mild. Barcelona was around 16-18 Celsius and it was perfect.

children 10 and 13. Great walkers, flexible and happy to do culture as genuinely enjoy but not for hours on end and I always like to throw in something “fun” that is perhaps a bit different

thanks so much

As a single mum my DDs favourites have been Madrid (wonderful city) and Cologne at Christmas - we are planning Rome next year, we’re both desperate to go!

InglouriousBasterd · 05/06/2022 19:47

I totally missed you booked Seville! Have an amazing time (and keep Madrid in mind for next time!!)

HollowTalk · 05/06/2022 19:50

Could you go as far as Granada to see the Alhambra?

Or what about Amsterdam?

Geranium1984 · 05/06/2022 19:52

Vallencia!

gracedentssketty · 05/06/2022 19:56

Madrid or Lisbon for sure. Loved both (though both pre-kids!)

caringcarer · 05/06/2022 19:56

I love Barcelona and also love Salzberg.

Oh and btw as well as the flamenco ime the Setas as brilliant for tweens/early teens - you can walk out on them and see the entire city, it's such a cool experience. Hope you enjoy it OP.

We stayed three nights over New Year. Just enough.

Ideally would have been 4?

3 nights enough in Seville?

Yes I think so.

newbiename · 05/06/2022 20:09

In the old town near the Cathedral is nice

Scepticalwotsits · 05/06/2022 20:26

To add to what I said earlier Valletta is a great place

https://www.voyagetips.com/en/things-to-do-in-valletta/

plus if you want to hit a beach you can do so, and if you want to escape the city Malta is small enough to explore. But there is more than enough to see in and around Valletta and the 3 cities

cptartapp · 05/06/2022 20:49

No three nights was fine but we had good flight times so got pretty full days.
We stayed in an apartment through booking.com with a roof top terrace, right across from the cathedral. Great location.
We did all the tourist sites below but our DC best times (17 and 15) was zipping round Maria Luisa park on those electric scooters on New Years Day whilst DH and I sat and drank wine
Tapas for four with four alcoholic and four soft drinks, sixty euros.

famagusta · 06/06/2022 12:56

Me again!

those in the know, best to avoid Seville the week BEFORE Holy Week? It’s either that week or mid Feb and I’m stuck

I can reschedule without incurring cost

Rome, depending on age of kids, DD was 6 and we didn't want to
Visits museums with her. Didn't find anything for kids, luckily she was a trooper and enjoyed all the walking we did.
We promised to visit again without kids.

MakeTeaNotWar · 07/06/2022 18:07

@famagusta what accommodation have you ended up booking? We're going in October

BlueTitSmilingAtMe · 07/06/2022 18:53

@famagusta check and see what's open that week. As long as things aren't closed I think it should be fine. The weather will be better then than in mid February.

Beebumble2 · 07/06/2022 19:00

Malaga old town is full of things to do, Roman remains, museums, Picasso’s birthplace, lovely restaurants, great coastline.
Usually only known as a Holiday airport to the seaside hot spots.
