I know I probably should immature saying I need to get drunk. I do have a mature relationship with alcohol and I have limited amounts of alcohol. I'm going through a tough patch and I need to do this. I just need to go and get drunk.

When I was younger I used to mix drinks on a night out. I would drink pinks followed by shots and other easy drinks alcopops followed by some hardcore stuff like tequila slammers and or aftershock. Sambuca appeared in my nights out too when I was younger. The best drink ever to have me on the floor or on a table was the snakebite drinks.

I'm not able to drink like that anymore. I have safe drinks like vodka and cranberry juice and I know my limit and I drink water in between drinks. My current drinks of choice is a peach schnapps with cranberry juice and I also like fat frogs too.

I am going through a bad patch and I need to get drunk. I can't get drunk on my safe drinks.

Can anyone recommend drinks that are easy and tasty to drink and something that will help me get drunk.

Thanks

Hello OP, we are really sorry to hear you are feeling this way.
We hope you don't mind, but when these threads are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources. You can also go to the Samaritans website or email them on [email protected]. Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek real-life help and support as well.

We also like to remind everyone that, although we're awed daily by the astonishing support our members give each other through life's trickier twists and turns, we'd always caution anyone never to give more of themselves to another poster, emotionally or financially, than they can afford to spare.

Some further support links:
