There are 2 supermarkets in my small town. Both have collection service. One requires you to ring a bell and interact with staff, the other is all automated with no human contact. I go for the anti-social one every time.

I shop at Tesco as they were the only supermarket in the rural area I lived in 20 years ago. I'm a creature of habit even though I've moved 6 times since then 😁

Prices and quality are reasonable, delivery people pleasant, you get used to their own brand selection, so no reason to change.

Order bulky items from Tesco as had an account with them for ages and generally no issues with deliveries. But in-store don't like the lack of space at the self-service checkouts- Morrisons much better for that. Sainsbury's is ok as well (and is nearer). So use both for top-ups to my deliveries.

Tesco for the delivery saver (£6.99 a month for unlimited deliveries) and club card prices. Plus they will price match any substitutions.
Morrisons for being closest if I need ds to walk up for a few bits.
Lidl recently for the prices, with all the cost of living increases. I love their bakery, but couldn’t do my whole shop there for things like specialty ingredients or preferred cat food, etc.

All of our supermarkets are a similar drive away. I shop at lidl mainly (sometimes other supermarkets)

Few reasons. Mainly price. Like their food and the staff are lovely. Also the gardening bits and pieces.

Also great opening hours. Parking. It's quiet compared to Aldi etc and I don't have to bump into anyone I know (so I can whizz in and out in 15 mins )

Lidl because I can chuck anything into the trolley and know the price/quality is going to be right. I can get most of my shop there including a lot of the basics to make more fancy items.
When I go to my nearest supermarket (Coop) for things I can’t find at Lidl I scrutinize everything!
So of my €150 weekly food budget 100 is Lidl, 30 is specialist shops and 20 is Coop.

The first supermarket I went to when I came to this country was JS, I was a loyal customer for 32 years, then came lockdown and I was CEV, Tesco emailed me overnight and said we have your back, I have yet to hear from Sainsburys. So now I do online Tesco and get the odd thing in Sainsburys.

They have lost £££'s in revenue from me, and with online I don't spend as much so a bit of a win/win

Sainsbury's. I find it's the right (for me) combination of price and quality.

Ocado to a strict meal plan. So convenient getting it delivered . I’ve been using them over a decade now. We’ve recently switched to getting some things from Lidl but not everything is good, in particular I can’t bear a lot of their F&V so went back to Ocado for that.
