One keeps hovering over my garden. It's like there's a massive angry bee. No idea if it had a camera on it or not. Wish it would get lost

Get an airgun and take pot shots.

MissStarry · 16/04/2022 17:07

Yanbu - how intrusive!! Do you have a catapult?

BlanketsBanned · 16/04/2022 17:07

Can you hose it down, thats a real invasion of your privacy, is it a kids one. Do you have any idea where its come from. I would go upstairs, film it and see where it goes.

JayAlfredPrufrock · 16/04/2022 17:08

Hate them.

nocoolnamesleft · 16/04/2022 17:09

Do you have a jar of pickled tomatoes?

Williamshatnershorses · 16/04/2022 17:10

I hate them with a passion. Everyone else’s enjoyment of places ruined by twats selfishly getting lovely footage at the expense of everyone else’s peace.

Imissmoominmama · 16/04/2022 17:11

It’s actually illegal to fly them over people without permission. My husband has one, and had to take a course in the legalities of flying it.

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 16/04/2022 17:12

An you plants some bedding in the shape of a giant finger …..

NeedAnOffSwitch · 16/04/2022 17:25

Hose pipe it down. As someone upthread said, it's illegal to fly a drone and invade privacy like that. And there's a very low likelihood that it doesn't have a camera on it these days.

rahjama · 16/04/2022 17:28

"Hose pipe it down"

What an excellent idea I will be doing this next time one hovers over my garden

Squiff70 · 16/04/2022 17:37

All you need is a jar of gherkins.

Aphantasia · 16/04/2022 17:57

Why Gerkins @Squiff70 ?

Cucumbers actually 🤣
Squiff70 · 16/04/2022 18:24

@Aphantasia

Why Gerkins *@Squiff70* ?
Nearer the start of the war in Ukraine, a lady was reported to have taken down a Russian drone by launching a jar of gherkins/cucumbers at it.
Shade17 · 16/04/2022 18:25

It’s actually illegal to fly them over people without permission.

That very much depends on the weight of the drone.

Only crowds and not if the drone is under 259g
LeftFootForward · 16/04/2022 18:38

A PP is correct, it is illegal to fly a drone over property without permission. We had a drone hovering over our garden about 4 years ago. I contacted the police who to my pleasure and surprise took it very seriously and actually came round.

FairFuming · 16/04/2022 18:40

Give the local kids some Sling shots and some chuckies. You'll never have an issue with them again

hedgehogger1 · 16/04/2022 18:44

I'd need better aim than I've got for the gherkins to succeed

Why do people comment on things they clearly know nothing about.

Oh do sod off. I gave the OP my opinion and experience and I am repeating what the police told me.

No, you stated it as fact and you are wrong.

Shade17 · 16/04/2022 19:15

He was local so we let it go but he’s never done it since

If it was a lightweight drone such as a Mavic Mini there’s nothing you could do about it anyway!
