I was never sure if the MN scarf was real or metaphorical. I remember the old SN mums - the great Jimjams of course, Chocol8, Dinosaur, Thomcat. I went to a meet up at the royal Academy on the day the winner to host the 2012 olympics was announced.

Great to see Cod and so many others coming out of the woodwork! I was a newbie back in the day, and MN was a lifeline of wisdom and entertainment because of you all!

I was a naive newbie who had no clue people changed their usernames. I think I replied politely that I wasn't anyone previously but they probably didn't believe me.

Le Queen was definitely miles more entertaining and funny but she had a gang after her 🤣 literally on here!
Who chased her every post, tracked her down to her job in RL and her husband business .

She had to de register.

Shame I enjoyed her posts and writing style a million more times than pagwatch .

people did always complain about the 'royalty' thing BUT there's something to be said for recognising names though, I hardly ever do anymore. it felt more like chatting with mates than throwing words into an abyss of vipers.

I think the ethos of moderators has gone beyond what's amusing and entertainment.

Many funny writers come here and may write their actual real life woes in an amusing way to get a laugh.

But laughter is viewed with massive suspicious now anything remotely amusing can't be real or serious.

I used to start so many threads. People joined in and I think they were taken in the way they were intended and it was (dare I say) quite fun?

I hardly start any threads now, you just never can tell how it's going to go.

This has given me such a laugh. Ds just turned 20 and I joined the month he was born, so been here since 2002!

Long ago and far away I caused a very divisive swsnbn thread after I was almost shipped off to the loony bin for following the routines. I kid not! So I predate and post date cod, but this place has literally been the saving of me several times in my parenting journey and my 22, 20 and 18 year olds don't know how much they owe you!

I don't know if Bertrand is still around. I could start a thread in education about the wonders of private education which probably bring her out of hiding if she is still here.
