NC because this post will definitely be recognisable to friends that have spoken about this recently (👋🏻 If you’re reading).

We were talking about different things that appear in different places in the country.

Where you live, can you order:

  • Spice on your chips (not salt & pepper chips, or chilli chips, but Chip Spice),
  • A pizza platter, or,
  • Lemony minted cabbage?

And where are you? Grin

@RampantIvy

I don't tend to go to pizza and burger places TBH.
I can’t eat most things from a pizza and burger place, so chips with chips spice and my little side salad keep me happy, once in a blue moon. Smile

A pizza platter is half a pizza, chips and coleslaw
Ah! That's a pizza supper in my neck of the woods. Pizza crunch supper (a deep fried one) used to be my student staple back in the day.

I love the sound of chip spice. I love pizza, but am not keen on having chips with pizza TBH.

I bloody love a lemon top Grin

Everyone who has ever had one loves a lemon top. Might need a trip to the seaside this weekend for my first one of the year.

RampantIvy · 23/03/2022 22:10

Off to google a lemon top

@Ifailed

The breadcrumbed ones with fish and mashed potato combined are not generally sold in fish and chip shops in Yorkshire,

I've had them in Leeds.

I used to have that in Anlaby, Hull when I was little.

My local heron sells chip spice for £1.

RampantIvy · 24/03/2022 10:28

I have just discovered that Asda sells it.
