Omg why haven't I discovered this stuff before. Woke up between nights yesterday with a splitting headache (hormonal). Took all
My usual stuff, but it was still lurking. Knew there was a jar of Tiger balm t work so decided to give it ago. Omg! My headache almost instantly disappeared. And didn't have to take anymore pain killers at all. What is this witchcraft?!!!

Susu49 · 15/03/2022 15:14

I have a pounding headache rn and a jar of tiger balm in the medicine cabinet, off to try this miracle cure!

Hoppinggreen · 15/03/2022 15:16

Wash your hands very very well before touching any (ahem) mucous membranes

www.rexlondon.com/mini-tin-essential-balm

I bought some from here along with lots of other lovely little things including stocking fillers and gifts for through the year.

Thasheblows88 · 15/03/2022 15:18

Ime, the white is much better than the red!

Whitney168 · 15/03/2022 15:23

Works on some sort of damaged tendon/ligament in my foot that nothing else touches, too - never without a pot.

MerryPoppings · 15/03/2022 15:27

Does anyone know what the ingredients are?

Thasheblows88 · 15/03/2022 15:34

On the box of my white version it says ingreds are:

Mint oil 16%, camphor 13%, menthol 8%, clove oil 1.5%

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 15/03/2022 15:40

I swear by it. I believe it stops potential migraines in their track. Always have a pot with me.

I find it depends why and where you use them. If I've got a tension headache coming on then a bit of the red one on my neck and a bit of the white one on my forehead really helps. It's an interesting combination of smells though 😂

Fire is the main ingredient
Toddlerteaplease · 17/03/2022 10:47

Did it get rid of your headaches?

OP posts:
Susu49 · 17/03/2022 11:43

It helped :)

BlankTimes · 17/03/2022 12:09

It's always described by people as a natural product, but both red and white are in a hard and soft paraffin base. Many OTC creams etc. use paraffin as a base.

Red www.tigerbalm.com/uk/products/tiger-balm-red
11.0% Natural Camphor
10.0% Menthol
5.0% Clove Oil
7.0% Cajuput Oil
Also contains: Cinnamon Oil, Dementholised Mint Oil, Yellow Soft Paraffin and Hard Paraffin.

White www.tigerbalm.com/uk/products/tiger-balm-white
11% Natural Camphor
8.0% Menthol
1.5% Clove Oil
13.0% Cajuput Oil
Also contains: Dementholised Mint Oil, Yellow Soft Paraffin and Hard Paraffin

Insect bites.
Only thing that works!!!
Makes them go cold and stop itching.
Fiund thus out when travelling, local lady put it on me, never bothered with anything since..

chanceux · 17/03/2022 12:19

Love Tiger Balm, been using it for years. I use the white one for headaches.

The red one is more for aches, it is slightly red on your skin though so I wouldn't use it for headaches, the white one is clear.

LottyD32 · 17/03/2022 16:25

@Toddlerteaplease

Did it get rid of your headaches?
It helped mine.
RainbowCrayons · 17/03/2022 16:29

I agree with this and the insect bites thing. I was skeptical about using it for insect bites but I was given some on holiday in Thailand (it was green but smelled unmistakably of tiger balm) and it worked far better than anything I would normally use.

liverpoolnana · 17/03/2022 17:51

Is it better for aching knees than (for instance) Voltarol?

Hoppinggreen · 18/03/2022 09:03

I actually really like Tiger Balm but something like Voltarol is a topical medicine rather than herbal so it’s highly unlikely to be better
Maybe try it and see if it eases the pain enough but if not top up with Voltarol or similar, there should be no issue using them together
