I definitely have a tiny dimpling underneath my left breast. I can only see it when I lift my arm as I'm a bit on the droopy side tbh... would this need looking at do you think!?!
Feel a bit shaken by it.

Spoke to a different doc this morning who has referred me to the urgent care clinic.

That's good news. I hope it's nothing, but until you are seen and is checked it will always be something in your mind.

EmergencyPoncho · 02/03/2022 14:06

I'm very glad you didn't accept the first doctor's verdict, good for you. Hope it is nothing obvs.

BeanAnTae · 02/03/2022 14:13

I'm glad Orlando. 🌷

Teacupsandtoast · 02/03/2022 15:40

Well done @OrlandointheWilderness

Teacupsandtoast · 02/03/2022 15:41

And also here for a handhold while we wait 🤞

OrlandointheWilderness · 02/03/2022 16:08

Thanks guys. I'm sure it's nothing but nice to check.

Glad the second dr is sending on referrals. The first dr should be ashamed of themselves for being so dismissive although sadly that's not unusual.

FluffyScarves · 02/03/2022 18:02

So pleased your concerns were finally taken seriously. Here for hand holding if and as and when you need us. Xx

Riverlee · 02/03/2022 18:42

That’s brilliant news (although obviously hoping its nothing serious)

OrlandointheWilderness · 02/03/2022 21:24

I'm even madder now, I've just realised it's actually worse than I thought. Looking from underneath there is more than I expected - this pic is taken directly of the underside. And no, the other one does not look like this!!!

@OrlandointheWilderness

Here
That is very obvious dimpling and I'd be writing a strongly worded letter to the practice manager, regardless of outcome, to complain about the gp's dismissive attitude and igorance with regards to referral
OrlandointheWilderness · 02/03/2022 21:56

Thank you so much @Teacupsandtoast
Even today when the second doctor referred me she made it fairly clear she was doing so as I was 'anxious'. In my econsult I'd simply said I wasn't happy as I could still see the problem and I wanted a second opinion - nothing about being worried at all!

Certainly needs a referral. I had similar a couple of years ago and had 2 week referral, scans biopsy and even an MRI scan. Thankfully all was fine so hope yours is too

friendlycat · 02/03/2022 22:25

You’ve done the right thing. Hopefully all is well but yes changes should be checked. You now have your urgent referral (which I’ve had before and all fine).

Madeintowerhamlets · 02/03/2022 22:39

Bit of a long story and don’t want to scare you but you are absolutely doing the right thing in pushing this & don’t let them make you feel guilty if this (hopefully) turns out to be nothing. I have cancer (not breast) and was diagnosed last year but had to push a lot in terms of my symptoms with GP/ pharmacy & A&E. As I am young (well relatively) I found health professionals quite dismissive. So you are not alone! Hoping for the best outcome for you.

Loveubeetroot · 11/09/2023 20:58

Hi. I know this is an old post but did you get sorted…I hope all was ok?? I had exactly the same indent/dimpling and had a scan and ultrasound and all was ok 🙏🏼 xx

Healthfreak95 · 20/09/2023 17:31

How did you ever get on @OrlandointheWilderness ?

OrlandointheWilderness · 20/09/2023 17:51

Hiya, when I went they made me feel like absolute crap for going, but the GP referred me for a scan as I was 'so anxious'. I was in there back and forth for ages, they were lovely at the clinic and said it was because of some scar tissue inside and nothing to worry about.
Oddly enough my aunt recently has been diagnosed with BC - she had a tiny lump that she could only just about feel in a very odd yoga position! They've caught it really early and it looks promising.

Healthfreak95 · 20/09/2023 18:50

Oh I’ve had a similar experience they made me feel stupid the other day really and truly. It’s horrible me as it’s hard enough to face going! That’s brilliant news. What was the scar tissue from? Oh no - I hope she’s okay & will be okay ! X

OrlandointheWilderness · 20/09/2023 19:20

Once I got to the clinic they were absolutely lovely, it was just the GP.
Re the scar tissue, I suspect it was as a result of a very rough XDP I had who was very physical.
She's doing fab thank you!

Loveubeetroot · 20/09/2023 20:56

Hope you’re aunts ok 🤞🏽🙏🏼
its hard enough going but to be made to feel like that is not acceptable but glad all was ok xx

Healthfreak95 · 21/09/2023 07:55

I will update after my clinic appointment 🤞🙂
