I have two - Co-op (due to their manager in my local store selectively targeting only certain people about what were essential items in their shopping during Covid.

And Asda as their supermarket online delivery customer service line is really bad.

I haven’t but my mum still won’t go in a lovely restaurant in our local town. They wouldn’t take a CV from my brother when he enquired about a wait staff job when he was 15… he is 46 now 😂

I did boycott Sainsburys for not selling me alcohol once. I had worked there for 20 + years and left so they knew damn well how old l was. Fucking ridiculous.
And l won't use Ryanair cos they are so not customer friendly.

Recently I've started boycotting Sainsbury's as they subbed my items and the driver didn't tell me (I'd missed emails as I'd been at work and they go to my personal email). One of the subs was a non-allergen food for the allergen version in very similar packaging. It could have been fatal for DC if I hadn't realised as I was putting it all away.

We no longer use a cafe within a well know local department store as they have put all there prices up by quite a bit e.g scones were £2 each now £3 each clearly to re coup money lost during lock downs. It’s gone from being really busy and struggling to get a table to only a handful of people in it .

Currys electrical...sold me a second hand vhs machine years ago...passed it off as new....had to have a sit-in at shop to get refund and reported them....not first time they had done this ....never been back....

LightSpeeds · 27/02/2022 22:06

Yes, my local Lloyds chemist. They've always been rude and unfriendly but then I got into a big fight with the staff at the start of COVID when lots of old, infirm people were queuing outside for ages in the baking heat and I took it up with the staff - they couldn't care less about improving the situation so I started getting my prescriptions elsewhere.

Fastforwardtospring · 27/02/2022 22:11

I boycotted restaurant of very well known furniture store for years after having food poisoning when I’d eaten their signature dish for lunch, I can just about manage a cup of tea in their restaurant now of a different store.

howardmoonseyebrow · 27/02/2022 22:11

Morrisons since my shopping didn’t turn up one evening, they promised it would be delivered the next , by 10pm that night it still hadn’t turned upAngry rang customer service who were not bothered at all. It never did arrive!

Mushrooms0up · 27/02/2022 22:12

Sainsburys. Their own brand cat food poisoned a number of cats earlier in the year.

They refused to acknowledge it and their recall notifies simply stated ‘apologies for the inconvenience’ after pets had died.

Despite emailing head office about lack of empathy in the wording, they emailed a lady who lost her cat saying she was the ‘top
Buyer’ of said pet food as part of the ‘look what you bought this year’ nectar yearly round up email.

Other retailers in the same scandal (pets at home) offered to cover the cost of blood tests and sainsburys did nothing.

Dogsaresomucheasier · 27/02/2022 22:13

Halfords. Got taken advantage of having my first car repaired thirty years ago and I’ve not darkened their door since.

SoftwareDev · 27/02/2022 22:13

Sainburys - due to the behaviour of their staff at the start of Covid. They were extremely rude and aggressive to everyone!

Lush - various campaigns don't sit well with me at all.

Talk/Talk - aggressive sales staff in the street and appalling customer service record.

On a positive note - I've had very positive customer service from various Asda staff on numerous occasions!

Rolypolyfishheads · 27/02/2022 22:16

My local hand car wash because they were trying to instruct me where to drive with hand signals that were not very clear. I got it wrong and then had a bunch of them laughing and taking the piss out of me Blush

LadyIckenham · 27/02/2022 22:24

Curry's, as they delivered the wrong cooker to me twice.

Costa, as every time my teenaged daughters visit the local branch and try to
Order frostinis, they tell them they can't do cold drinks due to no ice. They accepted it twice and then realised that other people were leaving with them. They also said the same to me when I tried to order 4 for all the DC.

Quite grateful for the excuse not to spend a fortune on overpriced sugar and ice!

Ragwort · 27/02/2022 22:28

Our local Aldi, employs the rudest sales person I know. A local cafe, really unfriendly and rude ... quite a few places really.

I work in retail myself and hate the poor standards of service that seem to be 'acceptable' in so many places.

Halfords
Curry’s
Argos
Mountain Warehouse

All for non compliance with sale of goods act (and later replacements) where they refused refunds/exchanges for faulty goods.

Thesearmsofmine · 27/02/2022 22:30

Matalan awful service both online and instore.

Lush because of their police campaign(I used to buy so much in there too), plus I got fed up of being bothered by the staff when I was just wanting to have a look.

SpikeySmooth · 27/02/2022 22:37

A wetherspoon's in South London that once served me vodka through an optic previously used tor Pernod. Never been back.

A curry restaurant that subsequently closed down. So I was right.

Pimluco Plumbers, thieving gits.

Nootherfudger · 27/02/2022 22:37

Our local wine shop. Returned a corked bottle of wine, the male owner mansplained what the wine should taste like and commented that I probably just didn’t like the taste. He then insisted on tasting the wine before he would refund it. Silly old codger almost spat it out as it was, as I had said, corked!
It wouldn’t be so bad but my husband worked with him for a number of years so he knew I knew my stuff.

SpikeySmooth · 27/02/2022 22:38

Pimlico Plumbers

BabyTurtIe · 27/02/2022 22:40

Yes I no longer go in my local coop as the security guard use to follow me/ my children around and told us we weren’t allowed to touch things unless we were buying it (pre Covid so that wasn’t the excuse!) even though you’ve always been allowed to touch thing we have dietary requirements so I need to check before buying

Curlyshabtree · 27/02/2022 22:41

I boycott a certain checkout woman in a local shop. I would rather queue for an hour than be served by her!

FuckThatBullshit · 27/02/2022 22:42

Lush. The most overbearing staff I have ever seen.

MiniDaffodils · 27/02/2022 22:42

My local coffee shop as they keep cakes labelled Gluten Free in amongst muggle cakes and don’t even have separate serving implements. There is no way those cakes will be GF - they will be covered in gluten crumbs and would make anyone with Coeliac disease severely ill for days.
They shouldn’t be in the food industry if they have have so little understanding in keeping people with specific dietary needs safe from harm.

SoftwareDev · 27/02/2022 22:46

Back in the 80s my dad took me into a local bakers to get some rolls. The woman behind the counter licked her fingers to open the brown bag to put the rolls in. My dad complained about the lack of hygiene standards and left without purchasing them. I’ve never set foot in the place since!
