My year 7 plays football (grassroots). He also watches our local team on a Saturday.

He plays out down the park, plays his PlayStation. and completes his homework.

He’s a happy boy 😁. Long may that continue.

Lots of scouts stuff - canoeing, camping, hiking, volunteering.

He either hangs about with his mates or festers in bed all day (14).

@ArseInTheCoOpWindow

My dd seems to have constant exams ( normal Comp) she spends nearly all her time revising which l hate.

I amazed at the ones on here who have all this free time! Maths and physics revision today for 2 exams on Monday. English and Spanish for Tuesday. Then more exams in 2 weeks.

Mine also has a lot of exams (also normal comp) but gets round this by simply not bothering to revise...🙄

Daughter ballet and seeing friends. Watching football.

DS cricket in the summer, drumming and watching football.

I can sometimes drag them out for a walk and they still enjoy days out around the above. Usually theme parks.

@EvelynBeatrice

I thought most teens had at least a full day of homework and/or revision each weekend. That's what it was like for me as a kid and same for mine. Aside from sporting activities in addition this is commonplace for teens - certainly above 14s - that I know.
Nope. I've known a LOT of teens, and not known any teens that do this (maybe except in the run up to GCSEs).

Volunteering: riding for the disabled, walking dogs, creche at church. Skate school/just skateboarding. Football (not elitist, he's pretty rubbish, they're just a nice bunch who probably need the numbers as kids get older and busier).

I'd like them to get a job but it seems less of a thing compared with when I was a teenager.

All their friends have language school on one of the days.

D of E, riding, swimming, X box, X Box, X Box, seeing their mates, family trips (walks, lunch, cinema, days out), cooking, eating family meals, films at home, music, piano practice, crafting. Pretty much same as us (minus x box)
