(Having said that, I once had a very saucy dream about Jarvis Cocker and have had a soft spot for him ever since!)

Jarvis Cocker isn't much of a good looking man but he's definitely got appeal. He looks like the type of guy you'd have a great time with.

I used to have a bunch of favourites until I dated a real rockstar (it just happened, I was not seeking one out).

It was not remotely sexy close up. The stench of full tar tobacco 24/7, the scrawny, veiny arms (although you could say it may have been from holding a guitar in the evenings), the cannabis-induced paranoid behaviour, the inability to stick around indoors for even an hour without needing to go outside for a cigarette even when it was really inappropriate and least innocuous of all, the constant stream of fan girls of all ages, shapes and sizes which rendered it impossible to correct all of the aforementioned.

I'll never look at another one again in the same light.

this is slightly outing but my ex (very long-term relationship) was the absolute spitting image of Axl when we got together. To the extent that he was mistaken for him once or twice.

We split up 15 years ago but he's aged a LOT better than Axl. I think perhaps Axl is his portrait of Dorian Gray...

(Meanwhile I'm a doppelganger of Amy Winehouse, so obviously I'm doing the ageing for us both )
