Shewee

I think I need to shop for a shewee. I went on Safari in South Africa in 2019 before the world went crazy. I loved it so much, but I wasn’t a huge fan of having to pull down my pants and squat behind a bush for a call of nature during a safari drive. All things going well, I’m off to do it again in May (💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻) and feel a Shewee is the way forward.

Has anyone here any experience of using one? Did you need to practice much to get the hang of it? Any tips or recommendations for a particular products (I see there are now several variations on the original)?

I bought some flexible silicone ones from Amazon. Much better than the hard plastic ones. They are great.

Do you have a good friend who could let you borrow a penis for the trip? 😂😂😂

Uses at a festival. Very good!

Get the one with the extension to stop you peeing on clothes. Put the back of it touching your body but leave the front an inch away- don't make a seal with it.

Practise in the shower then the garden with clothes on.

I bought a Tinkle Belle to keep in the car for emergencies/long journeys. Always seems so unfair that if you got stuck on a motorway for hours for some reason that men can just get out and go by the side of the road. I've only tried testing it at home, and it seems pretty good, but like a PP I've got a shy bladder and actually making myself pee in those circumstances would be really difficult!

It's easier and more decorous to wear a longish dress in that kind of situation. I did that in Namibia.

I couldn’t get on with the Shewee. Too many leaks.
I found another differently shaped one that had to be held against the body very tightly and went over the pubes, which I didn't like at all.
Now experimenting with the silicon one from Amazon…

How do you keep it clean immediately after you have use it? Stale wee smells. I wouldn’t want to carry that around with me afterwards. And you still need to wipe.

If it’s warm, longish skirt and no knickers would work easier l think.

With the pStyle you don't need to wipe yourself.

If you're out for a long walk, you usually have a bottle of drinking water. A quick shake, rinse, shake does the job. If it's breezy, the gadget air dries very quickly. But even damp it's not a problem. My dds go for 3-day hikes, wild camping in hill country. When they return, the bags with the pStyles smell only slightly unpleasant. It's not the reek of a dry-pailing nappy bin.

Weirdly, I was pretty dry after using it. Maybe due to gravity whilst standing up! It’s hard plastic so the urine just shakes off and it’s washed in soap and water later.

I’ll be in the African bush, so a longish skirt won’t really be an option.
