who is the person that was born the longest ago that you have met?

So my great grandmother was born in 1878 and I can remember visiting her at her home, she later for a few months went into a nursing home

so not the oldest, but the person born the longest ago so 144 years ago for me

My grandad was born in 1892 so would be 130 this year.

Its humbling to realize that there is no-one remembered from >150 yrs ago (for obvious reasons). Makes you think about all the daily stressors and how none of it really matters in the grand scheme of things. We are but a tiny dot in time.

My grandfathers mum, my great grandmother. She was well in her 80s and born in the early 1900s when I was a small child and she died. She was very sweet. And my grandmother mother who I am named after she was born in the 1910s. And died around 1998 or so.
Maybe there are some from really really long ago like the late 1800s but I cant remember and I have a really good memory.

My DGGM who was born in 1890 and died when I was 16. I remember her being very modern. She saw so much change!

None of great grandparents was alive when I was born, so it is my grandparents' generation.

My oldest grandparent was born in 1892 but I remember her brother who was born in 1890 so it's probably him.

A couple of people, including me, have said they remember people born in the 1860s

I'll ask my parents next time I speak with them when the oldest person they remember was born. As they themselves were born in the 30s, they might go back quite a while.
