You get to live anywhere in the world

You’re provided with a house suitable for your family size. A job that will ensure you can afford all the bills and a car if needed. You’re also provided with full medical insurance in needed too.

Where are you going to live and why?

USA in alaska. I just love it basically, beautiful places and being able to ice fish regularly when the ice fishing season rolls around would be great.

MyDcAreMarvel · 15/02/2022 15:23

California as you are including medical bills , otherwise Queensland.

Imabouttoexplode · 15/02/2022 15:24

Norway or Isle of skye/harris/lewis/man.

Basically somewhere cold, windswept and remote with breathtaking scenery, forests and water.

Honeyroar · 15/02/2022 15:26

Northern Tuscany (Lucca/Pisa area).

Or Cape Town.

Or Arizona.

I quite fancy New Zealand, but not sure if I’d want to live there as I’ve never visited.

MostIneptThatEverStepped · 15/02/2022 15:26

Was struggling for ideas but then saw California, I'd go for that.

Other one is Spain.

underneaththeash · 15/02/2022 15:28

I like where I live now, I love going away, but equally like coming back home.

I miss friends, family (even though they’re not that nearby) and normality.

marieantoinehairnet · 15/02/2022 15:29

The Lakes, but not the touristy area

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 15/02/2022 15:30

Uninhabited remote Scottish island.

Bliss.

qualitygirl · 15/02/2022 15:34

I would stay where I am in Ireland, although school fees would be pointless as there are no private schools in my city.

Soubriquet · 15/02/2022 16:18

@MrsTerryPratchett

Do we get a private jet? Because I'd love to live on some gorgeous island but be able to go to London if I wanted. It's 24 hours on 5 planes to be where I want to be.
Hmmmm. Think that’s pushing it a little Grin

Norway. It's cold and the Norwegians are more introverted. Not to mention the scenery and space.

HPLikecraft · 15/02/2022 16:47

A European City. I love cities. Amsterdam, Berlin, Barcelona, Prague...

Or a Mediterranean island.

MrsTerryPratchett · 15/02/2022 16:48

Piffle @Soubriquet

Just one tiny little jet?

Inextremis · 15/02/2022 16:49

I'm the third one on this thread to say I'd stay here, in Ireland :) Must be something about the place!

Soffit · 15/02/2022 16:50

Somewhere in the States. Probably California or maybe Hawaii

PollyCreo · 15/02/2022 16:52

Somewhere where it's 28c all year round, that's my perfect temperature. Rains every day but only at night Grin But no hurricanes.

I live abroad but we get 35c summers and occasionally freezing winters 🥶

Mydogisagentleman · 15/02/2022 16:53

Chiangmai . We lived in Bangkok for 4 years. I would enjoy the less frantic pace and climate.
We are planning to move to Spain in about 4 years.
Already bought a flat and will be visiting in 2 weeks for the first time since we offered on it

NoLongerATeacher · 15/02/2022 16:56

Barbados but I’d have to come back occasionally to get proper bacon and greggs sausage rolls of course 😂

Fire19 · 15/02/2022 16:59

French Alps. Snow in the winter and sun in the summer.

qualitygirl · 15/02/2022 17:04

@Inextremis sure that's because we're great 🤣💗

RuthW · 15/02/2022 17:07

I'm staying in my town thanks.

tabasoc · 15/02/2022 17:10

Mauritius because I own a house there.

LaurieFairyCake · 15/02/2022 17:12

Right here, everywhere else looks rubbish/or I don't speak the language or bureaucracy is impenetrable

MrsDThomas · 15/02/2022 17:24

Seriously id stay where i am. I love it and cannot imagine living elsewhere. Its home. Nowhere else could be that.

Id travel though. Cooler countries. I don’t like hot sun

MarshaBradyo · 15/02/2022 17:25

I’m going for nice place in London

Second to that is beachside somewhere with good weather and Sandy beaches but actually I’d rather just holiday a lot
