It's the start of the Winter Olympics for the Playmobil people in our house...

Today is the opening ceremony. Skater Andrei arrives in the stadium with the Olympic torch.

I'm missing the winter Olympics already, but looking forward to the next events. Some purchases may be made in advance...

I may have made some purchases today... That new snowboarder. And a couple of items for my next event. Used some money I had for my birthday in November (which was specifically given by friends to use on Playmobil).

Here is a big welcome to Lorenz and Taran. Lorenz is hoping to qualify for the 2026 winter Olympics on the luge, while Taran is hoping to sell soft drinks and ices at the forthcoming jubilee celebrations.

I, too, have bought some Playmobil this week. Came in a clear bag. The postman asked who it is for? He didn’t believe the answer. Off to eBay.

My parcel should be arriving tomorrow!

And in other news, I have recently had my small shed and summer house dismantled, new paving laid and a new large shed installed. The Playmobil was previously stored in the summer house, which was leaking like a sieve. It's currently all in my spare room. I'll be ordering some extra shelving, and then Playmoland will have a new, dry and spacious home!

Only about half of it will be allocated to the Playmobil, but still plenty of storage. The other half will be general shed items (garden furniture, implements, tools etc).

Love the idea of a playmo shed. Is there space to set them up in there too?

@LIZS I don't think there will be. I'll still be setting the scenes up on my dining table! But the extra storage should make it a lot easier to find the boxes I need for each scene.

My parcel arrived today! A snowboarder, a harpist and a set with a horse drawn carriage with two passengers and a driver. You can't have too many carriages for a Platinum Jubilee procession...

I also received the free 2022 Playmobil catalogue. In French...

I've noticed in the next set of Figures (coming out in July) there will be a couple of new ice skaters. I might be interested...

Another eBay purchase arrived today. Just waiting on another one to complete a set.

In other news I was supposed to go for a walk with a friend today, but weather decided otherwise. We compromised with a cuppa here, then a pub lunch we had already booked, then back here for more tea! Norman was in his element.

Just managed to order my shelving (which I didn't think was going to be available for another fortnight)! It's arriving on Monday.

Shed is now half full of sheddy stuff. The other half will be full of Playmo when the new shelving arrives. Looking forward to the next few days...

Playmoland is now installed in my shed. So pleased with the new shelving.
