When Dd was about two she said to my Mum ‘I think my Mummy really likes you.’ My Mum told me she said it, and yes I do really like my Mum - and Dad.

My then 3 year old was watching me shower one day and asked if she would have boobies when she was big. I replied that she would and then she asked if they’d be ‘long ones’ like mine - little witch.

My 2 year old DD likes to come into bed with me for cuddles every morning before we start the day. She often puts my face in her hands and tells me that I'm her "gorgeous little honey", though this morning she followed it up with "and you have a moustache, mama". 🙈

My 2.5 year old grits her teeth and squeezes me so hard and says 'I love you my little mummy boo' Grin I don't know where she's got it from but it's seriously cute.

@MonkeyPuddle

My 4 year old told me I had a lovely squishy tummy one day as he snuggled down on me on the sofa. It’s true, it’s very squishy, makes the perfect pillow for him to snuggle up.
Aw I love this. I hate my stomach after 4 c sections but one of my kids tells me my belly is soft and makes her feel safe.

Daughter to me ; (aged 17) thank you for having such a great divorce, for always being so kind about daddy even though I can see why he would make most people mad. I think of all my friends I am the most sorted because I know you love each other but can't live with each other . .. I cried.. (when she wasn't looking)

My DS has speech delay. When I used to say I love you to him, he’d copy my pitch and the sounds back but add a too on at the end. He can pretty much say it now (it still melts my heart) but just knowing that my boy found a way to let me know he loved me when he couldn’t speak was amazing. Mama was the first word he said Crystal clearly too.

I’ve twins so feels weird to not mention DD too! I’m normally a jeans and t-shirt kind of woman but had bought a puffy net skirt as DD is heavily in to dresses. I was feeling quite self conscious at the thought of wearing it out, but when DD saw it she excitedly told me that I was beautiful and looked like a princess, before rushing to get DH to look at how pretty mummy looked. Biggest confidence boost I’ve ever had, given by a 3 year old Grin

DS who's just turned 5 came up to cuddle me the other day and said "I love you mummy, you make everything ok" I nearly cried!

cafedesreves · 02/02/2022 23:01

My DS is too little but my brother loudly asked my mum in a public toilet cubicle: "Mummy, why is your bottom SO hairy?"

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 02/02/2022 23:10

I use "kiss and blow the pain away" when ds hurts himself. Last week I shut my hand in the car door and blackened my little finger when we got home from nursery, first thing he did was sit me on the stairs and kiss my hand and blow the pain away. He proudly said, "there we go mummy, all better"

A perfect mimic of me from whenever he bumps himself (it works)

My teenage son overheard me on the phone complaining about my post baby body (5 month old) said don't worry mum least your face is cute but don't join only fans cos you'll never make any money 🤣

Great thread, OP! It's so wholesome. I don't have a great one, but DD (nearly 2) told me "You're my big daughter" the other day. Made me feel loved.
