Is there such a thing as a good ladies razor with blades that are on budget?

The refill blades are so expensive! Anyone found anything which works really well but doesn't cost the earth? The Bic ones ripped my skin apart and the basic Venus ones have no movement in them so can't reach those difficult curves. I've tried an epilator but suffer from horrid ingrown hairs.

I used a men's razor (5 blade Wilkinson sword, can't remember which one exactly) and buy the blades in bulk from eBay or Amazon

I've tried every razor under the sun and find the pink aldi disposables brilliant.

I have an estrid subscription and it's changed my life! Best razor I've ever tried.

I have a double edge safety razor which cost about £30-40, but it'll last forever and the blades are well under £1 each. Plus no plastic waste.

MrWhippyBloon · 31/01/2022 22:03

I have the men's 5 blade one from Aldi, it's really good and blades aren't expensive

Verbena87 · 31/01/2022 22:03

I’ve got a safety razor as well. It was maybe £20 but the blades are really really cheap, and shave close and smooth.

Hugasauras · 31/01/2022 22:04

I use Estrid too. Really good

Gladioli23 · 31/01/2022 22:04

I also use men's Wilkinson sword but the "Xtreme3" disposable. Usually about £5 for 8 and do me totally fine - I have managed not to Alice my legs with them even though I can't see more than 20cm from my face in the shower with my glasses off.

I do shave my legs fairly infrequently though so a pack of 8 lasts literally years...

Indecisive29 · 31/01/2022 22:07

Another Estrid subscription here 👍🏻 Cant fault them at all! £7.95 for the kit which give you the handle, shower holder and 2 blades. Then it’s £9.95 for 4 blades and you can set it up to be delivered every 2, 3 or 4 months 👍🏻

Lou98 · 31/01/2022 22:08

I have a FFS subscription, although I stop it for a few months every so often as I end up with a build up of spare heads. I really like it, have used it for years now

AndSoFinally · 31/01/2022 22:09

I use a mens one from cornerstone. They often have offers when you take out a subscription, which you can cancel immediately just to get the offer

wineosaurus4 · 31/01/2022 22:12

I use the Aldi mens 5 blade ones too!

whoami24601 · 31/01/2022 22:13

I also use the men's one from Aldi. It's really good and not expensive. Spare blades are £4 for 4 I think.

Houseplantmad · 31/01/2022 22:17

Another happy Estrid customer here. They last for ages before needing replaced.

whensmynexthol1day · 31/01/2022 22:55

Yep men's one from aldi here too!

Laufeythejust · 31/01/2022 22:56

I’m estrid too they are really good.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 31/01/2022 22:58

And another Aldi men's 5-blade razor recommendation!

MenaiMna · 31/01/2022 22:58

Supermax triple blade disposable as little as £1.49 for 5 home bargains, savers, b&m

lomoloko · 31/01/2022 22:59

The Aldi dupe refills that fit the Venus are the ones to get.

SarahJinx · 31/01/2022 23:00

Aldi ladies disposables here too! So good.

Doublechocolatetiffin · 31/01/2022 23:04

I get the amazon branded Solimo ones, 5 blade heads with a nice gel strip and it's £12 for 10 refills. I haven't bothered with anything else since I found them.

Mabelface · 31/01/2022 23:06

Aldi men's here too
