What jobs do you enjoy doing in your household that no one else does?

I like cleaning the Guinea Pigs cage out. I do it once a week while they have their run around time inside. I always take it outside to clean and get great satisfaction giving them nice clean bedding and hay. I like being outside too. I’ve got it down to a fine art now.

DH and DD hate doing them but I love it.

I like puttng the washing machine on and bleaching the toilet overnight or if i know im going to be out all day,basically jobs that take care of themselves 🤣 I hate hoovering,too much effort and strenious

Bizarrely I'm obsessed with having a pristine clean white toilet.

Dusting, polishing and cleaning the windows.

I also have a thing about our outside khazi. I've found some 1930's material for the curtains and an original wooden toilet seat. I've also got a framed photo of Churchill in there and some of that IZAL medicated toilet paper. I'm a tad OCD keeping it clean too.

My family think I'm completely mad.

I’ve got two weird ones.
First, I love cleaning the vent at the back of my hair dryer.i think it’s where the motor is at the back there’s a vent that gets fluffy. It’s got really tiny holes so use a needles to pick out the holes.
Second is emptying the anti calc bar in the iron. It’s one of those big fancy ones that sits on top of a tank thingy and makes loads of steam. There is a little bar that collects all the limescale and you remove it to remove limescale and rinse. For some reason oddly satisfying.

Probably need to get out more!

I love laundry too. Today was windy and sunny at times and I had all the sheets out on my washing line. It was great

Hoovering, cleaning the toilet and refilling the litter trays!

Mowing the lawn. It is huge and takes a couple of hours but love wandering in a world of my own, getting sun and exercise lol. Means I can nag the rest of them into doing the jobs I hate - like washing up.

I love polishing shoes. I used to particularly like the tiny navy blue startrite ones my dc wore when they were little.
Dms are ok too

I hate all the jobs mentioned on this thread!
It’s all dull housework chores to me. I do them (cleaning/laundry/hoovering etc) on a daily basis but I don’t actually get any kind of thrill or joy out of the process. I see them as boring essential ‘needs’ to keep the house and everyone in it ticking along. We have a cleaner who relieves some of the pressure who I love though!

I don't enjoy doing any jobs! I just do them because they have to be done and I like the end result! I think you're all barmy "enjoying" housework!!

I think you are all bonkers!

I like putting the DCs toys away correctly.

Drives me barmy when DH puts say a plastic giraffe in with plastic dinosaurs or a toy car in the toy trains box!

After reading Marie Kondos book, I do quite enjoy sorting laundry and putting it all away. We've massively cleared out excess clothing which means everything has a space to go back into. This makes it much easier and really satisfying to put stuff away.

My teenager would rather I left it in a basket in his room for him to root through, but instead he has stacked pants Kondo-style.

Cleaning out the cat's litter tray, even though he likes to wait until it's fresh so he can lay a huge cable and kick litter everywhere!

My son is a hairdresser I love cleaning his sink drains out.
