Buying flowers online

Bellexx · 26/01/2022 16:20

I’m looking for recommendations on the place place to purchase flowers online. I went to send some to a colleague that lives away from me.

I usually use M&S or next but both don’t seem to last very long

Sorry I didn’t check this prior to posting.

I’m looking for a place online to purchase followers for someone that lives quite far from me

Haute

Amazing flowers and long lasting and a variety of budgets catered for

Whitney168 · 26/01/2022 16:26

Freddie's Flowers are better quality than I've had anywhere else online and a bit different.

In those circumstances I always use a local (to them) florist. It feels more personal that way, and have always had successful results.

Id use a local florist. My DP got me a bunch of flowers from an online company and they were the biggest waste of money. Cost about 30 quid and the flowers were half dead and had all died within 3 days. Refused to refund him and only offered to resend the flowers. Would not recommend.

Thank you.

I can’t use local as she lives to far away from me

Local to them, not you.

Bloom and Wild always have offers on, Arena are pretty good but I have to say M&S seem to last the longest with me but I see you want to try someone else.

Aurorie11 · 26/01/2022 17:02

I Google local florists to where the recipient lives, look at reviews and phone them with a budget and any preference on colours/ flowers.
Last did this for a friend in Newcastle and I'm in the Midlands

What people mean is that you find a florist local to the person to whom you want to send the flowers. Then call the florist, order on the phone and pay by card.

I do this quite regularly for a friend down south and I live in the Nw

Defiantly41 · 26/01/2022 17:06

I've always had brilliant flowers from Cornish Blooms. They're a family firm not a big corporate cornishblooms.co.uk

Or as PP have suggested, find a florist local to the recipient and order direct

MaizeAmaze · 26/01/2022 17:07

Why can't you use a local florist? Google for one with good reviews near her, and either order online, or ring them up.

Redglitter · 26/01/2022 17:08

I'd definitely go for a local florist. You tend to get better value from them & I'd rather use a local business than something like Next

Elodie9 · 26/01/2022 17:14

Love Bloom and Wild, have had them delivered and I have also sent them to other people and they've never disappointed.

NickiMinajerie · 26/01/2022 17:18

I use moonpig and recipients always happy. They also send offers with discounts or free cards etc
MN have discount with sernata this month
discountcode.mumsnet.com/serenata-flowers
Some mnetters give codes for freddys flowers etc there was a thread just the other day

supersparrow · 26/01/2022 17:21

Scilly Flowers. Limited choice (it's just what they grow seasonally), but everyone I've sent them to has been delighted. Apparently they are carefully packaged and arrive in excellent condition.

I use these if I'm sending whilst they're in season. Everyone has always been delighted with them.

I've been using Prestige for the past year- the flowers are packed really well, presented nicely, they have a good selection, on my first order I was sent a free vase, plus you get a small box of chocolates with each bouquet- they send you codes for eg 10 pounds off next order etc too

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 26/01/2022 17:38

I always use Bloom and Wild - this link will get you £10 off (I get a credit too)

I'd go with a local florist as I have received 2 bouquets from Next ; one was wilting coming out of box and the other was in the bin after a couple of days.

itwasntaparty · 26/01/2022 21:33

I got some sent to me from bloom and and wild and really rated them. They're not in bloom when they arrive so last longer.

Nsky · 26/01/2022 21:36

Bunches, fab add save25 in box, gives you 25% off ( discount/ promotion box), good choice and great at sorting issues out, if any

TwinkleToesStrikesAgain · 26/01/2022 21:39

I get monthly flowers from arena and they always last 2-3 weeks.

SilverHairedCat · 26/01/2022 21:43

I use Freddies Flowers even for single deliveries - about £25 and always a huge parcel with flowers that last a good fortnight. Plus I like putting them together.

MrsCat1 · 26/01/2022 21:45

I'd second Arena flowers. They are excellent and last a long time.
