what does your partner do in bed that annoys the hell out of you? I don't mean sex but their annoying habits.
mine has this irritating habit of rubbing his feet up and down the sheets. does not sound that bad but we have cotton sheets and they make a terrible noise when he starts rubbing his feet!

Also- the jerking! Randomly kicking one leg like a fucking Rocket just as I've drifted off.

VanLife · 26/01/2022 21:28

@PinkSyCo 😂😂

@LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow

If I nudge dh for snoring he ALWAYS without fail says "I'm not asleep"

I think I yelled once..."no, but you are bloody snoring" Hmm
He never remembers if I ask

Something I have found that works to stop him snoring is to poke him...not awake and not to move him, just a finger onto his arm/back/arse/chest, or a toe in the back of his leg....touch and press in a slightly poking pressing fashion and it stops him. At least long enough for me to get to sleep and not to lie there in a righteous fury.

Know what else works? Tilting his head back slightly (resisting the urge to snap it off or that might just be me ) I do this to my mine if he ever snores on his side. He either doesn't feel me do it or wakes enough to stop him.

He strokes my pillow. It drives me mad. It's so loud in my ear!

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 26/01/2022 21:37

@Fuckityfucksake I reckon that might prove to be too much temptation for me....the head snapping or to pinch his rattling nose closed at the same time #badwife.

@OutrageousFlavourLikeFreesias

Not my DH but me. I have regular night terrors and wake him up by shrieking like a banshee about various imaginary shit I'm convinced is coming to get us both. I don't know how he puts up with me TBH Grin
Me too! I also leap out of bed mid scream and put the lights on. Goodness know how he tolerates it. His snore followed by whistle is nothing by comparison!

@Pombearsforthewin

For those struggling with issues related to duvet hogging. Go Nordic and get two duvets! Life changer... (and probably life saver for a previous bed sharer who I was close to stabbing!)
I have gone the two duvet route and never looked back!
PoptartPoptart · 26/01/2022 22:54

Yawns loudly and repeatedly when he is semi awake in the early morning.
I usually lie there seething for about 10 mins before snapping at him to stop! Then he acts all hurt like a wounded puppy. Grrrrrrrrrr

He has restless legs.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 26/01/2022 23:05

Mine is fine once he is sleeping, but insists on watching tv before bed frequently.
I hate having the TV in the room but he has a false leg so sometimes has to take it off earlier than her want to properly go to bed at, so watches tv in bed instead.
Which would be fine if he went up early enough or switched it off when I went to bed to sleep.
The most annoying is when he falls asleep watching it and doesn't switch it off. That really posses me off.

He did snore horrendously before losing a load of weigh and I know I snore so sometimes he tells me I've been snoring so must annoy him in return.

Breathes

merrymelodies · 26/01/2022 23:39

One DP I had used to set his alarm at 15 minute intervals for an hour. So he'd set it for 6 but get up at 7. Whereas I, once woken in the morning, can't go back to sleep. I hated him for that. Selfish git.

Fatarseflanagan09 · 27/01/2022 10:33

Kicks his legs about all over the place like Micheal Flatley because he has restless legs syndrome.

Itstheprinciple · 27/01/2022 15:45

Mine gets itchy legs at night and he scratches them over and over again or rubs them on the sheets.
I have restless feet though so I'm often twitching my feet all over the place

Went Nordic and got separate duvets after he constantly rotated in the same direction steadily moving the duvet off me. Cue complaints that his duvet ended up on the floor and he got cold.... We now sleep in separate rooms and are very happy!
mangomama91 · 27/01/2022 16:08

I agree with pombears, 2 duvets all the way!!! Means we can both be wrapped up and not fight over who has the most duvet 😂
