My dad cooked it for me, it wasn’t as hot as usual and this mouthful was cold and tasted gummy. Sad

Fingers crossed for you op.

Hebditch · 22/01/2022 16:40

Bleurghhhh that is raw 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

FishyMcFishyfingersFace · 22/01/2022 16:44

Yes, that was raw! Hope you're ok OP.

And yes, I'm getting a raft of KFC adverts too.

irregularegular · 22/01/2022 16:55

Yes clearly. Can't believe an adult needs to ask the question! Even my fairly incompetent teenagers would know. But in the majority of cases you'll be fine.

HollysBush · 22/01/2022 16:58

Try to take your mind off it

Babyvenusplant · 22/01/2022 17:01

That's literally straight out of packet raw 🤢 I hope you feel ok op

Somethingsnappy · 22/01/2022 17:35

@Tsuni

Cavemen also died very very young from many different diseases, illnesses, poisoning etc.

No they didn’t

Explain! I'm intrigued...
ElenaCouch · 22/01/2022 17:41

Oh god. That not even "under done" or "borderline" That. Is. Raw. Envy

Only cure is a cold glass of gin.

Rivermonsters · 22/01/2022 17:44

@ElenaCouch I fancy some gin now Grin

iklboo · 22/01/2022 17:45

Ohhh yes.

iklboo · 22/01/2022 17:50

Based on Early Neolithic data, remaining life expectancy at 15 years old was 28–33 years. So in Early Neolithic, somebody having survived childhood and having reached the age of 15 could, on average, hope to reach the “advanced” age of 43.

Not exactly ancient. And there is evidence homo erectus was using fire to cook as long ago as 1 million years. It's a myth 'cavemen' ate raw meat to the most extent.

Thethreecs · 22/01/2022 17:56

OMG if you gave that chicken chest compressions it would get up and walk. I really hope you're OK, how did you even bite into it, it must have been chewy as fuck.

MalbecandToast · 22/01/2022 18:04

Arrrrgggghhhh this is my worst nightmare!! I really hope you're okay Sad

ElenaCouch · 22/01/2022 18:06

Praying for you and your guts OP

Rivermonsters · 22/01/2022 18:07

@myyellowcar thank you (love ur username Grin) when would the diarrhea start ?

OP posts:
Rivermonsters · 22/01/2022 18:08

@Thethreecs got a headache right now and my throat has some weird aftertaste when I swallow. 😂 some would say the chicken is still clucking

OP posts:
DinaDirvla · 22/01/2022 18:12

Eeesh yeah that looks a tad underdone. There's a 99% chance you'll get away with it, try not to over think says I, who would absolutely be having an attack of the vapours right now.

Keeping everything crossed, how are you feeling? Get on the gin.

Rivermonsters · 22/01/2022 18:14

@DinaDirvla same I’m a chronic over worryer. I have a headache, feel tired and a weird sensation/taste when I swallow. clinks gin glass Wink

I got food poising from chicken as a child on holiday in Greece. One thing I remember is how bad it tasted whilst I was eating it (but I carried on because I was a kid). So in short you know when it's not right.

MrsGinnyM · 22/01/2022 18:15

It does look raw unfortunately, yes, but not to the extent that it will be back up the ladder attempting to decorate. see thread in Food/Recipes Wink

Mossstitch · 22/01/2022 18:19

Myself and my friend both agree alcohol kills everything (we are NHS😂) we'd say go for more gin, if you can't kill it🐔cure it🍸🥂

Rivermonsters · 22/01/2022 18:21

@Mossstitch 😉 I think everyone here deserves a MN gin GrinWine

FunkyPhantom · 22/01/2022 18:26

If it was giving you severe food poisoning, your body would have rejected it by now.

Anything mild will be between 12-24 hours I reckon.

Gin is the cure-all in most situations, so I'd just drink gin until you've forgotten about the chicken 👍

( Obviously gin isn't medically proven as a cure-all......but it works like this in my little world 😁👍 )

Gtfcovid · 22/01/2022 18:27

I fed my DD raw chicken a few times till she asked if it was chicken fat because it wasn’t nice Blush. The fan had blown on my oven and I was using the convection oven and putting the chicken too low down in the oven. I nearly had a fit because I’m paranoid about food poisoning- I’ve had it once and it’s horrible. She was fine! I now cut into the chicken before I give it to her to be safe (and have invested in a new fan oven).
