Just read this article on the Daily Fail after someone posted it on Facebook.

www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-10416511/CLARE-FOGES-logs-Tattle-Life-stunned-vitriol.html?login&login#newcomment

What do you think about this? Some of the comments are interesting lol.

I've seen Tattle Life and it has plenty of threads slagging off male celebs as well.

Women aren't exempt from criticism just because they're women.

toppkatz · 21/01/2022 14:31

Wow, the DM and Tattle in one link... no thanks.

GirlInACountrySong · 21/01/2022 14:52

yet they post a pic of Ashley Cain?

a male

I have the same expectations of women as I have of men. I don't temper my response to any individual's behaviour based on then being of the same sex as me. Why would I? Why should anyone get a pass on anything because they're female?

GirlInACountrySong · 21/01/2022 15:02

yes how do they know those usernames have females behind them?? a bit like here, we are anonymous and use user names which could be anyone!!

Daily mail are ASSUMING because in their view its bitchy,it MUST be women behind it all!!

Shapiro · 21/01/2022 15:03

We are now living in a world where people with absolutely zero talent are now celebrities. As far as I’m concerned these people are fair game to poke fun at.

Shapiro · 21/01/2022 15:05

Let’s not forget that all these Z listers call the paps to photograph themselves looking ridiculous with perhaps plastic surgery or awful clothing and of course their relationship up ups and downs.

They understand the nature of the game is that even when people ridicule them it gets the more publicity more publicity it’s the money.

That’s why so many of them invent problems of mental health because they think it will garner more publicity when in fact there is nothing wrong with them and they’re not always stupid they’re quite astute at getting attention and their goal is making money.

Yep, lots of posters on there say things like as a man, as a straight man I've never fancied her, as a gay man even I find her sexually attractive, I'm a dad and I think she's a bad role model for young kids etc so there are men on there, there are also threads about men and/or men being discussed on a woman's thread eg a thread about Katie price so it's her name in the title but loads of it is discussing her current and ex partners.
Easymealtimes · 21/01/2022 15:09

Forgot to add there's also.lots of threads jot about anyone eg chat, advice, tv, conspiracy theories, reccommendations, rave threads etc.

I think it's easy to pick out what you want to see about something eg how many articles are there about bitchy/transphobic/nagging wives/lax mothers with 'evidence' taken from mumsnet but using about 0.0001% of posts from here.

Writing an article about women tearing down women while being a woman talking about how awful women are is... hmmm.

GirlInACountrySong · 21/01/2022 16:24

very interesting comments....people do have a point about the money raised for various causes.

Bearnecessity · 21/01/2022 16:24

Sorry, but I think it needs talking about an awful lot of women have difficulty in relationships with other women and the lack of communication about it isolates and internalises this issue so women feel it is all their fault.....

stealthninjamum · 21/01/2022 16:39

I went on there to read about a minor influencer and lurked on a few threads. I found most of the comments were feedback about this woman’s business practises with a minority of admittedly nasty comments.

I read a few other threads and actually learnt a lot about influencers making money from pyramid ‘life coaching’ schemes (basically conning people) and raving about a product without mentioning they’d been paid to, or buying followers who coincidentally had Russian names.

It’s possible I missed some of the worst threads but I think it uncovers a lot of people making money by doing nothing at best and conning people at worst. One of the threads I read was about a man so I don’t think it’s just women slagging off women.

It’s not great, but neither’s the daily Mail. Unfortunately being offensive is just part of social media and I see just as many nasty comments on the daily Mail, a few on Mumsnet, Facebook, Twitter etc

Cofifeefee · 21/01/2022 16:39

I think the users of Tattle are quite sad. So often they make comments that an influencer is boring/has no content/nobody cares yet they obviously follow the person obsessively to the point of uploading screenshots from Instagram stories. Why not just unfollow the person?

BitcherOfBlakiven · 21/01/2022 16:40

Influencers are a bunch of scammers IMO.

TooWicked · 21/01/2022 16:43

I found Tattle a complete eye opener on the influencers I followed, who I now realise are scam artists with appalling business practices, who don’t think they should be answerable to anyone and don’t want any negative feedback at all.

ive fallen down a bit of a rabbit hole reading tattle this afternoon

some of the people on that site have a cracking sense of humour!! I was expecting a full on bitchiest tbh. The PTWM PayPal saga has me baffled

Waxonwaxoff0 · 21/01/2022 17:49

And to be honest anyone who writes for the Daily Mail has no right to criticise anyone.

Typical woman bashing article. What about kiwi farms?

EishetChayil · 21/01/2022 19:10

I love Tattle.

Lots of gender critical women on there.

It's not just pointless bitchery. It's a place to hold influencers to account.

Sparklingbrook · 21/01/2022 19:14

The bits of Tattle I have seen is just bitching about people on Instagram and trying to pull apart anything they say to expose them as liars. They are very forensic in their investigations.
But I haven't looked at much because they want me to disable my adblocker and I refuse.
