Can anyone recommend an amazing aparthotel in The Greek Islands?

Want to book a holiday with our one year old so hotels don't really work. Want to be able to put her to bed and drink wine with my husband so not all in one room. Ideally would be able to fly from Stansted.

@Whatoflife can you share any more details? Looks good but what about food? I have a child with allergies and I’m hoping for somewhere we can self cater if we wish

It’s a really relaxed place, I think all rooms have fridges and some of the rooms have very basic cooking facilities. There’s a breakfast buffet every morning and they do evening meals. They catered off menu for my veganism very happily. Most of the rooms are close to the pool and have balconies or small terraces. The rooms are basic ish but not too basic. Super accommodating lovely people. Pool is glorious. The beach at the resort isn’t great for swimming but other spots on the island are nice. Very small, quiet island with a few small shopping towns and eating places but not much else. I’d go back in a heartbeat!

I haven't been to the hotel myself myself but friends of ours who spend a lot of time on Paxos recommend Paxos Beach Hotel

Neptune hotel resort on Kos was lovely and had appartments, very family friendly, or you could choose pretty much any hotel and drink on the balcony or terrace.

Not technically a Greek island OP but I can recommend the Avanti Hotel in Paphos (Cyprus).

We’ve stayed in Parga, main land Greece. Really beautiful and had a child so 2 bedrooms and kitchenette was ideal.

We stayed in this place in Rethymno, Crete, admittedly a few years back now. But it was reasonably priced, met your requirements and the breakfast buffet was amazing. Downsides, it is a bit of a walk into the town/beach. Great restaurants and bars in the town though. (We actually found the nicer beach was if you drove a bit in the opposite direction from town along the coast. Crete in general is a great place for driving and exploring.)

Another vote for paxos, a couple of options we've stayed in were villa agerini www.villaavgerini.com/ and Santa Marina (amazing breakfasts) santa-marina-villas.ionianislandshotels.com/en/

When DC1 was 8 months we had a successful holiday in one room but with a balcony. Put him down then spent the evenings on the balcony having a drink and cake usually, reading and people watching below us. Opens up the options a bit.

Have a look at Eleonas, Dalabelos or Ammos on Crete.

Otherwise, just look for rental apartments in a beach resort, they are not hotels but you will have plenty of tavernas on your doorstep to eat at.

We've just booked to go to Elounda in Crete, the Elounda Residences Hotel, and they offer 2 and 1 bed apartments as well as hotel rooms, so you could put the baby to bed and sit in the living area. Some of them have a private plunge pool and terrace outside so you could spend the evenings there?
I've got 3 older kids and the 2 bed is ideal, the hotel also does all levels from self catering to all inclusive, so might be good with a toddler if you have the choice?
Only downside is it is a hilly resort and 15 minutes walk from Elounda (although there is a complimentary bus to and from the hotel).
It has a water park with kids' area next door which can be included in the price too.

Not Greece, but if you are ever going to Croatia, I can recommend Kalamota Beach House on Kolocep island.
