I've got a few things that I know I can always turn to in times of crisis for guaranteed instant good mood and belly laughs:

  • Chris Pratt doing the TOWIE accents on Graham Norton.
  • Professor Kelly's children walking in on his BBC interview.
  • The Derry Girls Catholics vs Protestants blackboard.

What are yours?

Peter Cook and Dudley Moore as Derek and Clive. Complete filth but completely hilarious.
Also the podcast "Dear Joan and Jericha" - Julia Davis and Vicky Pepperdine as the most awful, awful agony aunts on the planet.

The IT Crowd. The theatre trip to see the gay musical

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 13/01/2022 21:16

Lots of Phoenix Nights, but the scene when the face painter uses spray paint. I was doing face painting on sports day a few weeks later and one of the teachers was having a tiger done. Someone shouted “have you seen Phoenix Nights Sir?” I couldn’t finish for laughing.

VoluptuaSneezelips · 13/01/2022 21:17

Only Fools and Horses the chandelier and falling through the bar

Lots of Blackadder especially Captain Darling and the puritans and the suggestive turnip

Lots of Father Ted especially the mass on the milk float.

Also Armstrong and Milers airman sketches where they talk street slang in RP accents 'and I said you can't torture me and shit cos that's against my human rights innit. I mean that's like the Geneva Convention and shit'

TravellingSpoon · 13/01/2022 21:29

Joe Lycett doing stand-up, especially the bit where he has a bit of fun winding up an apartment scammer.

Greg Davis on Graham Norton, especially the tale about a school trip when he was a teacher.

The scene in Gavin and Stacey where they fight in the kitchen about Gavin moving to Wales.

notprincehamlet · 13/01/2022 21:30

Best Graham Norton clip ever. I watch it every so often and it makes me laugh every time. It’s just such natural chemistry and like watching a hilarious convo between friends.

JoyOrbison · 13/01/2022 21:33

On honeymoon 17 years ago we were watchinf a prgram on tv where Richard Harris was being interviewed. He was talking about a scene where he was supposed to be aiming a gun at a lion, and there were 2 takes they showed. Tne first was with the lion renainibg in the cage during filming. Tbe second take was were they let the lion iut.

I have never laughed so much, even Richard Harris was laughing looking back on it, he was like a charicature of a startled terrified person, he seemed to literally jump syraight up witbout any effort, freeze, drop his prop gun and belt off.

If anyonw has a spare 5 minutes I would recommend you try to find it!
