I've got a few things that I know I can always turn to in times of crisis for guaranteed instant good mood and belly laughs:

  • Chris Pratt doing the TOWIE accents on Graham Norton.
  • Professor Kelly's children walking in on his BBC interview.
  • The Derry Girls Catholics vs Protestants blackboard.

What are yours?

Friday Night Dinner- the episode about the fox.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 13/01/2022 20:34

Billy Connolly’s Wildebeest monologue.

Anything by Flanders and Swann.

Dinnerladies.

The radio 4 series Cabin Pressure - especially when Caroline is trying to give her dim son Arthur some customer service training, via role play:

Caroline (as an annoying customer) - “Young man, I am gluten intolerant”

Arthur - “Well - I’ll try not to be too gluten-annoying.”

Or the episode where they get stuck at a desert airport that won’t let them take off, so they taxi the plane out of the airport and down the road to the next airport.

BeyondMyWits · 13/01/2022 20:35

Father Ted... "these are small... the ones out there are far away"

ThePlumVan · 13/01/2022 20:37

A Dad’s Army moment when Mainwaring got his motorbike and side car stuck in the mud, so they all lifted him out and the wheels were left behind - I’d had a few sherries when I first watched it and thought it was the funniest thing ever Grin

More recently has been the ShiteventersUnite FB page which has literally kept me going over lockdown.

somehowsunshine · 13/01/2022 20:37

"He's not the messiah - he's a very naughty boy!"

Going 'out out.'

Waitress (two soups)

It cropped up in my FB memories today because I share it every year and it's never not funny. It was a an interview with Julie Walters after Victoria Wood (who wrote it) died.
