Non wired bras & big boobs!

Does anyone with a fair sized chest wear non wired bras?

I'm a 40E (maybe bigger as I haven't been measured lately) and my god I hate bras, they are just so uncomfortable that I can't wait to take it off. I've seen the non wired ones online and they look so comfy but I'm wondering about the support as my boobs are heavy!

Any recommendations would be great!

I didn't get on with the Boob or bust measurements, I wear a 34 d or dd and that's tight, when I take it off at night there's a big red mark all around my body, the measurements said a 30 or 32, yes I tried it with a f ff and even a G cup but didn't fill the cups.

I think boob or bust really falls down if you have a rib case that is a lot wider at the top than the bottom.

A lot of the reason my over bust measurement is bigger than my underbust measurement is because my back/chest is broader there. Boob or bust always tells me 2 or 3 cup sizes larger than I can even come close to filling.

I never wear wired bras, always unwired. Usually from M&S. They're not as pretty but so much more comfier

I'm a 40E and have worn non wired bras for years. M&S mainly. I fine that they minimise my bust which I much prefer. I get plenty of support unless I am running and are so much more comfortable than wired bras.

Could you mention the makes @TheCaddieisaBaddie

I used to wear wired bras before lockdown, now am so much more comfortable without ( wires not bra😁)

OhGiveUp · 08/01/2022 10:30

It's the price of bra's for us larger chested ladies that anger me.
£50 for a bra is outrageous!
I find underwired bras really uncomfortable, the same with sport type ones as the band tends to roll up uncomfortably under my boobs and give no shape at all.
I've never worn a bra at all with the exception of a special night out, then I spend all evening thinking let me get this bloody contraption off.

Thank you, all, for this thread. Super useful, and I've now ordered from some new suppliers.

I'm a 36H - I also have problems with wired bras esepcially after gall bladder surgery. I only really like cotton bras too as the non-cotton ones get a bit sticky. The only ones I've found that work as an every day bra are the Anita Jana. Search on Amazon for Anita Women's Non-Wired Comfort Bra with Cotton 5427.
Really interested at some of the suggestions here, I've been wandering about Molke too but very put off with the comments on them being hard to get on and off.

MumToCaptainChaos · 09/01/2022 22:24

@1000umbrellas How does it work ordering from Lane Bryant, they are US only, no UK stockists?

Bells3032 · 09/01/2022 22:27

I love my ones from bravissimo. They're soooo comfy but sadly a bit pricy

RaskolnikovsGarret · 09/01/2022 22:51

I like M & S Total Support striped bras. Whoever invented wired bras must really hate women.

I'm a 34H and can't wear underwires since having major abdominal surgery (well I could but they'd be really uncomfortable). I really like this one from bravissimo

At the beginning of first lockdown I decided to replace my bras. I had been wearing Triumph sports bras but had got a bit tight. I did lots of research and sent away for various types of non wired bras. I finally discovered Anita Jana bras. Non wired, high cotton content and extremely comfortable. Expensive, and not particularly pretty but just great. I now have five of them. The sizing is slightly different so do check the conversion chart.

34JJ here, I found Molke bras while pregnant in June and have never gone back to wired bras. They're absolutely brilliant and give much better lift than my wired bras ever did. Have now swapped out my entire bra drawer for Molke bras except my one sports bra.

1000umbrellas · 10/01/2022 10:10

@MumToCaptainChaos I got mine in the US and before I posted I checked that they ship to the UK; however I've just looked and the international tax and shipping is huge! They are great bras but not £30 extra fees great, sorry.
