As the title says really...DP has a birthday coming up and I'm looking for ideas (early 50s, mountain biker, like food and booze).

Journal 29, it’s an interactive puzzle book and he can’t seem to put it down.
I also got him a beanie with a built in torch, was meant to be a bit of a joke present but we are outdoorsy family and it is actually really useful.

If he enjoys cooking look for vouchers for a local cookery school, my husband and friends’ partners have really enjoyed courses at our local one (Kent Cookery School) especially the barbecue ones.

Tickets to see Mortimer and Whitehouse? They are doing a tour for Gone Fishing.I don't know the dates but they were on the radio talking about it.

I’ve got mine some new shoes he wanted and theatre tickets.
For Xmas, clothes and a game, plant, a print he liked.
I looked at a pasta making day course but it was booked up.

My DH seems most pleased with his Viz annual.

I am gutted I didn't know about this. My DH is obsessed with them both and would have loved it. Instead I bought him tickets to Only Fools and Horses show with Paul whitehouse in it which went down well

nice warm jacket and a holder to put on the van dashboard to hold his mobile. the latter was because he puts it on a shelf in the van but its always falling off and screen smashing plus he can't see it when driving so hoping this will make life easier safer and cheaper for him

One of DH's presents was a really cool phone holder for his car, that is fully adjustable and actually works. He loves it.

The fleece lined, PJ bottoms from Fatface have also been a massive hit. He's worn them every day since the 25th!

Fortnum's canvas carry case with flask and glasses - half price in the sale. Foodie treats from fortnum's and sous chef.

A heat pad went down well with my DH. His home office is on the colder side of the house and he is always cold, so he has strapped it to the back of his office chair. It only costs pennies to run and means he is less trigger-happy with the Central Heating thermostat, so will pay for itself. Grin

Two favourites from my DH. A little waterproof Sony speaker he can hang in the shower and a display case for his watches from Etsy.

TheRealMrsJelly · 30/12/2021 11:33

Dash-cam. He was over the moon with it.

Forgot that DH had hinted at the Bob Mortimer book!

Bluntness100 · 30/12/2021 11:45

Apple Watch.

This morning he said to me I love you and it suddenly said I really like you too.🤣🤣🤣

nosyboot · 30/12/2021 12:12

Blatant placemark as DH's birthday is coming up. I hope you are all recommending stuff that's in the sales Grin

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 30/12/2021 12:28

Thank you for these ideas.

Shame the Mortimer and Whitehouse live show isn't playing near us. I think I might look for some comedy tickets locally though.
