….little plea for you to post something other than yet another pic of your child every once in a while.

I don’t care if it’s your lunch, your holiday, hell even a motorway service station just not more baby/kid spam please. It’s astounding to see how once interesting friends have changed and now post pretty much daily updates of their offspring eating toast, watching tv, with relative xyz. Fine to take the pics, why do they need to be shared with the world?

NB also stop with the damn elf on a shelf

I’ve just done an experiment on my FB feed to see if it matches up with what OP describes. I figured I’d see what the first ten mothers I see have posted. But I didn’t even get to two. My FB feed is filled with advertisements, buy and sell groups, business posts, suggested pages. I found one post from a father sharing the school raffle post for his child’s school and one from a mother advertising her own business.

I see others had the “first ten things” idea too! Grin but obviously more staying power than I did to be able to find some people posts.

I couldn’t give a shit if people don’t like posts of my children, I’ve asked if I can post things on Facebook and they really don’t mind, they post pics of me.

We’ve had a shit year, really rough time, they’ve lost a dad, I’ve lost dh and I’m just proud of how resilient they are even though it’s been awful, so if I want to post a pic of my beaming 11 year old covered in mud holding a football trophy I will!

Luckily I have fb friends who share our delight so if anyone dislikes my photos they can just take themselves off.

I personally hate endless Christmas posts and l loved up couple post because it reminds me of what I’ve lost but I wouldn’t dream of asking people to post something else as it’s my problem! I just hide them from my newsfeed

Well, I will post about whatever is important to me and about the things I've been doing because it's my page and I can do what I like whilst staying within the rules of course.

I post occasional photos of my dc, pictures of the things I've made, photos of the places I've been and anecdotes about my day and people like and comment on them so they don't seem to be bored of me (though I don't post daily or sometimes even weekly so hopefully I'm not too boring).

The 1st 10 posts on my fb newsfeed at the moment:
-A jokey post from a friend I've never met but enjoy seeing their images (shared hobby)
-An advert
-A photo of a friend's grandchild
-My own post with photos of a local landmark lit up
-A friend's post about the Xmas decs in their window
-Something from the local church
-Something from the Poke
-Another ad
-A photo shared to a group I'm in related to my hobby
-A different photo shared to another group I'm in related to my hobby
-Another different photo shared to yet another group I'm in related to my hobby

So mine isn't all same old/same old and I don't find it that boring.
