I've been asked by multiple family members what I would like for Christmas and I'm completely stumped, I have no clue. They're becoming insistent so I thought of asking you all what you guys would really like for Christmas? Maybe I'll get some inspo!

Thanks everyone, I ended up asking for a kindle although with all of the restrictions it doesn't look like I can get over to the UK for Christmas anyway, so will be a lonely one this year sadly. I think I'll drink the whisky I bought for my dad instead Xmas Sad

I'll keep this thread for next year though, there's loads of ideas for presents for friends and family haha!

I want a 1:44 scale dollshouse kit (its tiny) with all of the furniture kits. So I bought one for myself. Its better than doing puzzles.

Olympic sized indoor riding arena please!

Sorry to hear that blackbird.

I’m having a new I pad as mine is 1st gen and creaking apparently we are on 9th gen now. I’m fine with my current one but DH is annoyed with it and it can’t run some stuff to be fair as so ancient so I have to borrow his for some stuff.

The only thing I have asked for are cashmere socks.

OliviaKeeling · 15/12/2021 11:29

A proposal.

ineedaholidayandwine · 15/12/2021 11:32

Loreal Steampod hair straighteners as my main gift
Thermal leggings from my daughter

EmmaStone · 15/12/2021 11:56

My poor family has to deal with my birthday in December as well. This year I got:

Books (some specifics, but I've also suggested if anyone ever at a loss to buy me a clothbound Penguin Classic)
Sweaty Betty kit
Any kind of peanut butter chocolate Grin
A decorative plate I'd seen which looks lovely above the hob.

For Xmas, I've got the following on my list:
L'Occitane stuff in favourite scent / product
Some jewellery I bought myself and gave to DH to give to me
Tix to see West Side Story
Tix to exhibitions (won't get this - not prescriptive enough!)
Jewellery from Decadorn
Gucci Soho Disco bag (won't get this - discontinued plus mega expensive - can't justify the cost even secondhand)

Joystir59 · 15/12/2021 11:57

I always ask for book tokens.

Lemonmaiden · 15/12/2021 11:57

Two new books every month. DH has agreed.

IncyWincyGrownUp · 15/12/2021 12:06

I’d like a pair of soft black DM boots. I have a pair in brown, and they’re my favourites.

I like soap, so a nice bar in either rose or jasmine would be great. Not even expensive, the £4 bars from tackymax are my usual hunting ground.

I love the haribo sour cherries, so a bag of those always raises a smile.

WildStallyn · 15/12/2021 12:11

Slippers
Absolut raspberry vodka
Earrings
More le Cresuet cookware
Mark Lanegan autobiography
A new water bottle
Green Roasting tin book

NewlyCat · 15/12/2021 12:50

I do all the family xmas shopping and buy things for me at the same time! Then I give them to OH to wrap up with the DC to give to me, and they add a couple of little surprises which I love - the setup works great for me as they can demonstrate thoughtfulness without there bring pressure on them to think of big things, and I get some lovely things that I know I'll enjoy. This year I have bought me

Some lovely chocs
New coat and scarf
Nice backpack for work trips

I'll probably get some surprise tea, book and smelly candle which will also be lovely but if they aren't it won't matter Smile

Rockbird · 15/12/2021 12:56

New AirPods and a bass guitar. I've got the AirPods, I doubt I'll get the guitar.

BusterGonad · 15/12/2021 13:29

I've bought myself (joint money) some leather ankle boots, and I've ordered 3 dresses (planned to just keep one) from a company that I've recently been made aware of are shit at refunds (according to reviews they never pick them up or lose them in transit) so unfortunately I won't be sending any back and I'll have to keep all 3! 😯

BusterGonad · 15/12/2021 13:37

I just want to add, I do need new clothes as I've recently moved to another country and had to squeeze all my belongings (and a child's micro scooter) into a 30kg suitcase.

IncyWincyGrownUp · 16/12/2021 03:36

I’d like to add that I’d like some new slippers. Mine are a somewhat communal pair, and have taken a battering in the three years I’ve owned them because every bugger in the universe uses them for pottering to the bin/retrieving inventively hidden parcels in the garden/Going Forth* to round up the elderly cat.

A cuddle
A bookmark

PlanktonsComputerWife · 16/12/2021 03:49

Sorry, OP. I miss my mum, too, and god knows when the borders will reopen. It's shit. xxx

P.S. But make them post you stuff!

Theyearsareshort · 16/12/2021 03:55

@PermanentTemporary

This is a fantasy list. I will get only one item on it.

Bubble bath
Box set of The Twilight Zone which I've always wanted to see
Die Hard 2 on DVD [old school]
A One Hundred Stars kimono top
West Yorkshire Spinners' socks
Spa day or facial voucher for a local salon (yes I am an MN total cliche)
Offer to come over for the morning and help me declutter and take stuff to the tip

Peace on earth. Or, failing that, for my brother and sister to STOP ARGUING ABOUT RANDOM CRAP. And in particular for my sister to stop moving the bloody goalposts and using an admittedly shite adolescence as a reason for everything that bothers her, she's nearly 60 ffs.

I love the look of the one hundred stars kimonos but they are hand wash only. This puts me off. I shall keep thinking.
sillysmiles · 16/12/2021 04:55

Cashmere loungewear...... Anyone have any links??

PermanentTemporary · 16/12/2021 06:31

Are they? Oh crap I gave one to someome else! I'm a fan of the hand-wash cycle on my washing machine though so would give that a go.

BusterGonad · 16/12/2021 10:59

Most things these days say hand-wash, it's just to cover their backs. I wash hand-wash stuff on delicates or hand wash cycle, obviously low heat and low spin. It usually comes out okay.

justasking111 · 16/12/2021 13:36

I give to women's refuge smellies and clothes because at Xmas women and children suffer greatly and flee with just the clothes on their back

Anordinarymum · 16/12/2021 13:38

I want a diamond ring.

I have asked for a Robovac and a Vivienne Westwood brooch.
