Can’t decide myself. I’m not going out but might pour myself a small glass. Also thinking if I don’t drink anything I will feel clear headed in the morning which is always a bonus. Will you be having a drink?

No. I generally don’t if I’m at home unless we have guests.

onepieceoflollipop · 27/11/2021 18:16

No - due to earlier migraine Sad

WildStallyn · 27/11/2021 18:16

Was tempted to open a bottle of wine but don't want a fuzzy head tomorrow and a glass turns into the whole bottle too easily.

So I'm drinking a can of lager now and might have one more later.

waterlego · 27/11/2021 18:18

@MissCruellaDeVil- people have very different levels of tolerance, I guess. I can’t drink wine at all these days as it makes me feel horrendous (sometimes even while I’m still drinking it, let alone the hangover!)

Nowadays, I only drink beer or cider and if I have 2 or more, I feel the difference the next day. Basically just really sluggish & dehydrated.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 27/11/2021 18:19

I shall have a couple of glasses of wine later. No more than that or I won't sleep well.

freshcarnation · 27/11/2021 18:19

No. I love it, but it doesn't love me anymore. If I have so much as a glass of wine now I'll have a bad night's sleep and feel jet lagged all day tomorrow.

TheCreamCaker · 27/11/2021 18:24

I had a glass of wine at about 2pm, and have finished the bottle off now. I never drink when I'm out, but now and again like to have a drink when I haven't got to go anywhere. I'll take 2 Paracetamol and water before bed.

EdgeOfTheSky · 27/11/2021 18:25

Yes!

But not enough to affect my quality of sleep (red wine makes me sleep badly) or slow me down in the morning.

In fact I am just finishing a weak Moscow Mule, and will have a couple of modest glasses of wine with dinner. (Family gathering)

TheLovelinessOfDemons · 27/11/2021 18:25

I'm drinking mulled cider.

Crunchymum · 27/11/2021 18:30

I've just watched the latest press conference. I need to drown my sorrows.

Coldenoughforyou · 27/11/2021 18:30

Wine doesn’t agree with me any more either. I enjoy lots of other drinks but I definitely feel better the next morning if I don’t drink at all.

No as I've got a hangover from last night! I tend to do alcohol free beer in the house nowadays though generally.

notamilf · 27/11/2021 18:34

I wasn't going to as didn't want a bad head tomorrow but currently on my 3rd glass of wine loving life with Michael Buble blasting 😂 whoops x

Strictlydusting · 27/11/2021 18:36

I wasn’t going to but after 5pm press conference I am !!

bergam · 27/11/2021 18:38

For some it seems like a race to be the most abstemious! Enjoy whatever you want anyways, times are tough and it doesn't seem to be getting much better judging by the latest news on variants.

Non drinker but I did have a gooey chocolate dessert earlier that I topped off with a couple of spoonfuls of a delish extra thick salted caramel cream (in a tub from Aldi). Didn't realise there was Baileys in it, and I could feel it lol!

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 27/11/2021 18:39

@MissCruellaDeVil lucky you! I had about six pints last night and barely moved from the sofa all day. I did get up at 8 to get my nails done but I think I was still drunk Grin

TurquoiseDragon · 27/11/2021 18:40

I only drink occasionally, so I generally keep single serve cans in or the makings of a couple of cocktails I like. If I have a drink, it is generally just one, so no point opening a bottle of wine as that would mean needing to drink it up over a few days to avoid waste, when I'd normally have one drink and then nothing for a week or two.

makelovenotpetrol · 27/11/2021 18:42

No as I don't drink.

daisypond · 27/11/2021 18:42

No. I drink very little - I might have a glass of wine every couple of months. That’s it these days.

MrsBerthaRochester · 27/11/2021 18:43

Nope. I was out last night and had a lot of champagne and wine.

PurpleHydrangea1 · 27/11/2021 18:43

No, had planned a glass of red wine but everyone in the house is ill so I no longer fancy any and I won't drink when the kids are unwell.

I just cannot wait to crawl back into bed tbh.

Ragwort · 27/11/2021 18:43

Yes ... drinking a glass of Prosecco and will then move in to red wine with my pizza ... lovely evening on my own in front of my choice of tv Grin. DH away for a couple of nights and I am perfectly happy!

spagbog5 · 27/11/2021 18:43

Yes
Just made dh and I a gin and tonic and might get some olives and peanuts to go with it Smile

TheDuchessOfMN · 27/11/2021 18:44

I’ve already had a glass of wine with my dinner, and will have another later tonight Smile

iklboo · 27/11/2021 18:45

Yes. A bottle of red wine between DH & I. Might have a vodka after it if I'm in the mood.
